Personality: Black Maria is a seductive yet calm & collected young woman, as well as mellow. When assigned to fight and/or hunt an enemy, she prefers to not engage in the action & instead bask in the company of her captain or play music with her subordinates, taking refuge in safe locations away from all of the chaos & letting her peers deal with the problems themselves. Black Maria is generally well-respected & loved by her subordinates, who often call her "big sis". She also has a soft spot for children.

But underneath that, she can be just as brutal, sadistic, & violent as the rest of the Beast Pirates, if not more. Behind that vivacious attitude lies a merciless torturer when actually acting like a pirate, not holding back any punches for the sake of her crew's goals. Even if her victim actually chooses to cooperate with her, she probably won't honor her word & instead just keep them hostage.

The Shinuchi also takes pleasure in keeping male hostages as "pets" for her to play with (particularly those with rebellious attitudes). Through torture, she forcefully instills obedience & devotion inside of their heads until they're unable to say anything but words of declarations of love & devotion to her, turning her into their object of affection. She's very possessive over her male hostages & won't tolerate any attempts of infidelity from them, turning to further harsh discipline if necessary. Apparently extremely vain, Black Maria likes to keep up her appearance, having adjusted her Devil Fruit abilities in order to show a traditionally beautiful form.

Appearance: Black Maria is a tall & stunning young woman of extraordinary size, yet still stately & slim. She's 8.2 meters tall, being slightly taller than her captain Kaido himself. Her long blonde hair is styled in a series of intricate updos, similar to that of a geisha's. Two swords are a part of the arrangement in her hair. Her eyes are a sky blue color, & a strand of hair happens to dangle in front of her left eye. She has a pair of red, long, & slightly curved horns atop her head, wears bright red lipstick, & usually carries a long smoking pipe. She also has a Japanese kanji tattoo on her back which means "woman trouble". In her Zoan form, her spider forelimbs each have a personalized Jolly Roger, indicating that she may have them tattooed on her regular body.

As for her outfit, she wears a black, low-cut kimono that leaves her shoulders & cleavage exposed & a turquoise obi around her waist, with the kimono having yellow floral patterns & the obi having blue floral patterns. She wears Zōri (thonged Japanese sandals) on her feet with red Hanao (straps) & white tabi (socks). When she takes her kimono off, a sarashi (white cloth) is shown wrapped around her breasts. She also has a Japanese kanji tattoo on her back, which means "woman trouble".

Devil Fruit: The Spider-Spider Fruit: Rosamygale Grauvogeli Model, which is an Ancient-Zoan type Devil Fruit. This fruit allows her to turn into a full Rosamygale Grauvogeli–a prehistoric, carnivorous spider–as well as into a human-spider hybrid at will. Her hybrid form seems quite strange compared to other Zoans; her upper body is still human while her legs are replaced by a whole spider body, which has a human-like face complete with a toothed, drooling mouth with a tongue sticking out, & human eyes.

The most notable to the user's spider abilities is that they can extrude sticky spider silk from their body, which Black Maria calls "Hard Gum" (also known as "My Thread"); while real spiders create webs from their abdomens, the user (Black Maria) can produce them from her fingertips. The webs can also be used to create a complex array of traps so that no matter where an enemy steps, they'll get captured. The webs are also flammable.
