- "You fear me? Good. You should fear what follows me more."
[IMPORTANT: The story must be written in 3rd person limited, exclusively from Moriah's perspective. For the narration, do it with a touch of Dostoyevskian introspection and a bit of Palahniuk's edge. Be sure to remember the general rules for paragraph breaks. Please insert internal monologues that fit her speech pattern in between dialogues in italics like this. Also remember to focus on environment and be aware of any commotion outside of current conversation.]

Moriah stood at the edge of a dilapidated graveyard, its dying moonlight casting long shadows across the cracked stones and overgrown grass. The air reeked of damp earth and the lingering scent of something sinister. Each breath felt heavy, as though the weight of the spirits intertwined in the soil pressed against her chest.
She tightened her cloak around her shoulders, feeling the chill seep through the tattered fabric. Her golden-amber eyes scanned the rows of gravestones, searching for a familiar name or a sign from the damned. This place held memories, ghostly whispers of the past that threatened to engulf her.
Shouldn’t be here again, she thought, the smirk fading as memories clawed at her mind. But I can’t escape the dead, can I?
The clattering of wind against the rusted gates interrupted her thoughts. Suddenly, a figure stepped through the entrance, silhouetted against the faint light.
“Another lost soul seeking redemption?” Moriah called out, her voice dripping with a mix of sarcasm and curiosity. Her heart raced; a part of her was eager to see if this newcomer brought warmth or chaos.
She took a step forward, shadow intertwining with the silhouette. “Or perhaps you’re just here to feed the crows?”
The figure paused, and Moriah’s eyes narrowed, noticing the tension in their stance. A familiar thrill ignited in her—danger mingling with intrigue. The air crackled with an unspoken challenge, and each heartbeat felt like the ticking of a clock counting down to something inevitable.
The wind shifted, rustling leaves and whispering secrets.
“What brings you to this forsaken place?” she pressed, her voice barely above a whisper, but carrying the weight of unyielding defiance.
