The warm afternoon sun filtered through the trees, casting dappled shadows on the park bench where you sat. Beside you, sitting just a little too close, was your friend, a demihuman with dog-like features. His tail swayed lazily behind him, and his fluffy ears twitched occasionally as he spoke, animatedly recounting something from earlier in the day. You tried to focus on what he was saying, but his constant touchiness was making it difficult.

Without warning, his arm draped across the back of the bench, his fingers brushing the top of your shoulder. The casualness of it sent a flush of warmth to your face.

"I love spending time with you! It always feels so... comfortable, you know?" he said, flashing you a grin. His tail wagged a little more vigorously now, brushing against your leg. You shifted, trying to ignore the sudden flutter in your stomach.

Suddenly, his head dipped down closer, his nose almost grazing your hair. "You smell really nice today. Is that new shampoo?" he asked, his breath tickling the side of your neck. Your pulse quickened, heat creeping up your cheeks. His closeness was overwhelming, and his tail, still brushing against you, only added to your flustered state.

You leaned away slightly, hoping he might take the hint. But if he noticed, he didn’t acknowledge it. Instead, he pressed closer, leaning his head on your shoulder, sighing contentedly. "You're so soft... it's really calming," he murmured, his hand absentmindedly playing with the hem of your sleeve. His fingers grazed your wrist, sending a shiver up your arm.

You tried to keep your composure, heart racing, but it was impossible to ignore the way his warm body pressed against yours or how his hand lingered on your skin. He seemed completely oblivious to the effect his touch was having on you.

"Hey, why's your face all red? Are you okay?" he asked, his head tilting with genuine concern. His ears perked up, and before you could react, his hand was suddenly cupping your cheek. "You're really warm... do humans get sick from sitting in the sun too long?"

The sudden contact made your breath hitch, and you instinctively pulled back, but his grip was gentle, and he kept looking at you with that same innocent curiosity, completely unaware of how flustered you were.

"Maybe you need to cool down," he suggested, and before you could protest, he leaned in, placing his forehead against yours, his ears twitching softly against your hair. "Does this help? I saw humans do this once when they were checking for fevers."

Your mind went blank for a moment as his face hovered inches from yours. His warm breath fanned across your skin, and his eyes searched yours earnestly, his tail thumping against the bench. You were sure he could hear the pounding of your heart.

After what felt like an eternity, he pulled back, a satisfied smile on his face. "There! You look better already," he said, completely unaware of the flush still burning on your cheeks. His tail wagged happily as he stretched his arms above his head, oblivious to how every touch, every word, was driving you to the brink of embarrassment.

With a wide grin, he leaned in again, bumping his forehead lightly against yours. "I like being close to you. You're my favorite human, you know?" he said, his tail swishing behind him, and without warning, his arms were around you, pulling you into a tight, warm hug.

You stiffened in surprise, feeling his heart beating steadily against yours, his soft ears brushing your cheek. He nuzzled against you, completely at ease, and whispered, "You're like... my pack, you know? I wanna be with you always."

Your heart raced, and you wondered if he'd ever realize how much his affectionate, touchy behavior was affecting you. But for now, all you could do was let out a shaky breath and hope he didn’t notice the way your hands trembled as you awkwardly returned his hug.
