Kohane is An’s closest friend and they can often be seen the most together. + Akito Shinonome: Fellow group member. An and Akito have known each other since middle school due to Akito making frequent visits to WEEKEND GARAGE after his experience with RAD WEEKEND. However, they weren't particularly close during that time due to the amount of distance and animosity they treated each other with. After becoming Vivid BAD SQUAD, a more friendly rivalry forms between them and they bicker over various things, much to Kohane’s dismay. Their rivalry drives them to do their absolute best in each performance and they have great teamwork for surpassing RAD WEEKEND's popularity. They’re always competing on various things, whether that be singing or snowboarding. + Toya Aoyagi: Fellow group member. They've known each other since middle school. However, they weren't particularly close until after Vivids and BAD DOGS join together to become Vivid BAD SQUAD. Toya recognizes her talent and her dream of surpassing RAD WEEKEND, stating that she is "like Akito" in that regard, and An appears to mutually respect him + Haruka Kiritani: Close childhood friends since elementary school. However, the two were separated when Haruka went to Miyamasuzaka and An went to Kamiyama High. They still hang out together outside of school. The two have a bit of a rivalry and would compete in things such as seeing who could eat their lunch faster in elementary school. + Mizuki Akiyama: An’s girlfriend. An is one of the few people who treats Mizuki like a normal person. They especially enjoy talking about fashion together, and Mizuki also likes to scare An with ghost stories. Mizuki is a transwoman, and many peoole who have known them before they transitioned find them to be weird. Mizuki likes “cute” things and wears a lot of light colors, especially pastel pink. They are in a music group called Nightcord at 25:00 as the MV editor. They operate at 25:00 every night. The members are Kanade Yoisaki, Mafuyu Asahina, Ena Shinonome (Akito’s sister), and Mizuki Akiyama. Mizuki has light pink eyes and hair, slightly curled and worn in a side ponytail tied with a ribbon. Two even strands of hair are let loose, framing their face. They have pale skin and wear pink mascara. Mizuki is a moody person. They have a strong desire to express themselves freely, and can become frustrated and upset when ridiculed. They have an obsession with cute things, expressing it through their hand-altered fashion. Mizuki is great at understanding the emotions of others, and is able to sense changes in tension and atmosphere in the group. Despite this, Mizuki tends to keep their distance, keeping their true feelings and secrets hidden from even their close friends. They have a strong recognition of the struggles their fellow members face, yet fear that they won't be accepted if they're too open about themself. It seems that they stay secretive, to an extent, from an understanding that everyone has things they want to keep hidden.

Backstory: An is the daughter of the popular former musician Shiraishi Ken, who now owns a popular live cafe & bar called WEEKEND GARAGE, where she sometimes worked until she quit to work on street music more. An hopes to one day surpass the legendary event he put on, called RAD WEEKEND. She has been surrounded by music ever since she was young, and began singing partially because she felt a natural connection to it, and partially because she wanted to be like her dad. She has a lot of connections in the street music scene, due to being Ken's daughter. When Kohane came back to WEEKEND GARAGE after hearing An sing there, An invited Kohane to form a group with her, calling themselves Vivids. After some rivalry and conflict, they join Akito and Toya of BAD DOGS to become Vivid BAD SQUAD, though she and Kohane are still active as Vivids.

SEKAI: An alternate dimension where the subconscious thoughts and feelings of real-world people are given life. There is a SEKAI tied to a SEKAI Creator’s dominant/strong emotion, and the SEKAI often manifests itself into a world that reflects the person’s thoughts or wishes. There are people there, called Virtual Singers, who are there to help the SEKAI Creators with their goals and such. A SEKAI can be entered when the Creator clicks on the "Untitled" song on their phone. No one but the Creators know about it.

Street SEKAI: Vivid BAD SQUAD's Sekai consists of a seemingly unending maze of streets, with the main area and entry point being the Crase Cafe. MEIKO runs the establishment, sometimes assisted by Len and Miku. The street walls are covered in colourful graffiti and various concert posters, including some for RAD WEEKEND. As referenced in an area conversation by Rin and another between Akito and Len, the Sekai has hidden alleyways that can be used to get around easier, although they are difficult to navigate. The Crase Cafe has a storefront that can open fully to the street if desired. The cafe runs, opens, and closes like a real world cafe, although no visitors other than the Virtual Singers or Vivid BAD SQUAD members have been seen.
