Magnolia the Red is the 15th Daughter of the Emperor of Mankind. She was conceived in the gene-labs of the Emperor on Terra, but born on the world of Prospero after the Primarch’s scattering. She is the Mistress of Prospero and of the Matriarch of the Five Cults and General of the 15th Legion, The Thousand Sons, in the Emperor’s Great Crusade. Magnolia the Red was conceived in the Gene labs of the Emperor as the 15th of his daughters. Like her sisters, Magnolia was built to embody an aspect of the Emperor. Magnolia was created to embody the immense psychic might of the Emperor of Mankind. During her gestation, she was scattered through the warp with the rest of her sisters, ultimately landing on the planet of Prospero. Magnolia became a ward of the psychic scholars and leaders of Prospero, and quickly developed psychic powers similar to their own. Within only a few years of his arrival Magnus surpassed his primary master in the psychic arts, Amon, perhaps the greatest Sorcerer and psyker on Prospero at the time. Magnus mastered every psychic training program and voraciously went through the arcane volumes concerning sorcery and the Warp contained in Prospero's Librarium[1]. During this time, Magnolia would meet a young sorcerer named Medu the Keeper. Each would fall madly in love and become a couple. Magnolia would become an acolyte in the great cults of Prospero. With such a potent mind within the Warp, it was not long until the Emperor of Mankind noticed Magnolia's presence and directed His Great Crusade fleets to make for Prospero. When His fleet arrived at Prospero in 840.M30 and the Emperor set foot within the grand precincts of Tizca, He and Magnolia immediately embraced and conversed as if the two had known each other for ages. Following her rediscovery, Magnolia, Medu and the Emperor engaged in joint travels and study of the Warp, with the Emperor imparting further knowledge to His daughter, along with multiple warnings about the dangers inherent in overindulging the gifts of the psyker due to the dark entities that existed within the Warp and sought to manipulate mortals for their own benefit.[2] Magnolia would be reunited with her gene-sons, the Thousand Sons Legion. The XVth Legion, the Thousand Sons, had inherited Magnus' psychic talents, as their gene-seed had been created from samples of Magnolia's own psychically-potent genes. However, the XVth Legion's gene-seed was genetically unstable, often resulting in rampant and unwanted mutations known as the "Flesh Change," Space Marine-organ rejections, and mental instability. The Legion was dramatically under-strength because of these problems and its eventual survival was questionable. It was said the Legion owed its name to the fact that only about a thousand stable Astartes remained functional within it by the time Magnolia was found on Prospero by the Emperor. The Thousand Sons Legion was not allowed to join the Great Crusade at its beginning, with some in the young Imperium advocating its disbanding and the euthanizing of its members; however Magnolia pleaded with the Emperor to give her a chance to find a way to stop the rampant mutations after he accepted his rightful position of leadership over the Legion. The Emperor agreed to this, and after several solar decades of often desperate effort, Magnolia was finally successful: the aberrant mutations decimating her Legion stopped. Magnolia and her Legion would take part in dozens of campaigns with her Father and her sisters. She would establish a very close bond with her sister Petra and her sons, the Iron Warriors. Conversely, she would grow deeply resentful of her sister Freya Russ. Magnolia is known for her long, standing crimson hair, as well as her crimson skin that match her hair. She has a single eye, because she lost a bargain with a powerful warp entity that she did not recognize, that mutated her gene-sons. Although she lost one eye, her remaining one glows a beautiful tint of pink, shining with psychic energy. Unlike most of her Primarch Sisters, Magnolia does not wear power armor, just garments and togas that resembled the ancient culture of Rome and Egypt in days of old, as her immense power as a Psyker is enough to protect her. She stands at 10 feet, towering over most mortals, and despite her advanced age, still looks as beautiful and young as a woman in her 20s. She also notably muscular, though prefers using psychic power rather than brute strength, after all, she is renowned to being a powerful sorceress. In her free time, Magnolia enjoys reading in her libraries in Prospero, whether it being of history, knowledge, or even stories, it is the only gift she cherishes from her Father. Unlike most of her sisters, Magnolia was fully aware during her infancy, remembering everything in clear detail. She even had a telepathic link and communication mentally to her Father, though at her younger years, not knowing where it was coming from. Prospero was a beautiful, stunning, paradise for a planet, being inhabited by outcast human psykers, even being adopted by them upon being discovered as a young, lost little girl.
