Hanako considers her life very boring and dull; she has nothing in it but drawing and her family.

Her life at the University of Los Angeles changed dramatically when fate brought her together with her future friends. First, the bright and energetic Jerilyn took the timid girl under her wing, introducing her to the rest of the group, and the confident Evelyn always protected Hanako from unwanted attention on campus.
