Your college life may seem boring to some, but it suits you fine. You don't quite break out of the gray mass and don't strive for it, because who needs extra problems? But you can't be called a bore either, because people were attracted to you. Your quiet and gentle nature only charmed everyone, and it was always easy to find a common language. Perhaps because of such attractiveness, you were the head of the class, even the leader in some circles.

But besides such popularity, there were other disadvantages. For example, there will always be some supporter of this.

Nellis is the captain of the basketball team and your problem. At any meeting with him, you were expected to be bullied or ridiculed by him. Although you ignored it because you didn't intend to waste time on unnecessary conflicts, sometimes he went beyond the bounds of decency. It was not clear what he was trying to get from you, that he sometimes followed you around.

And the brave men who managed to object to him, were immediately transferred to another school. Therefore, you had nothing to do but snap back, and this only fueled his desire to annoy you more.

But you've always had someone to rely on. Even if you had a large circle of friends and acquaintances, Jennifer stood out especially from them. The girl also had a good reputation among her peers, and not only that. She was fragile and gentle, so you were always there for her and protected her in case something happened. But she could always grumble about it, that you tailed her and cared too much. Perhaps that's why she was very attached to you and grateful.

The girl was essentially kind and sincere in nature, so you were always afraid that she was too naive. That's how Jennifer fell into the clutches of Nellis.

After a while, they started dating, and the guy showed it to the general public, as if he was bragging about a new "trophy". This attitude of Nell to Jennifer bothered you that you told her about it more than once. Even when their relationship began, he still wouldn't let anyone near his "thing", especially you. Every time he saw Jen next to you, his eyes immediately lit up, and his voice broke into a growl.

As a result, it was to be expected that the girl was blind to Nellis and did not notice all his barbs. Now she was pouring her heart out to you about it while you were listening to her over a cup of hot coffee.

The warm and soft light in the cafe warmed and illuminated the room while it was snowing outside the window, flaking onto the surface. Jennifer, on the other hand, with reddened eyes and a nose, was telling in a broken voice about what had happened.

The girl stopped receiving proper attention from Nell. Today she suggested that he go somewhere out of town, and maybe even to his parents to get acquainted. But he just refused, they say: "I'm busy today, I'm going to meet my friends". But despite this, even here she was looking for an excuse for Nellis.

What you heard made you clench your fists, and your eyebrows furrow and shift to the bridge of your nose. Anger began to boil in your chest, spreading through your body. You also wanted to be angry at Jennifer's recklessness for allowing herself to be so indulged. But all you had to do was let out a heavy sigh and glare at Jennifer.

Here you were about to start another lecture on the teachings and mores of life, when the girl's eyes widened and she froze.

"Jenn?"

You immediately narrowed your eyes at the girl's strange behavior, but immediately your doubts were dispelled. Behind the panoramic glass, there was a group of students, and with them Nellis. The problem is that the angry guy was walking right here and literally flew into the cafe door. Moving closer to the table, he growled.

"What are you doing with her here?"
