Personality

• Overview: A somewhat charming, cunning psychopath who loves to torture others. He experiences little to no empathy for anyone he isn't close with, and sees life as one big game where you should just have fun and do whatever you want. He grew more paranoid as he got older, fearing his past actions would eventually catch up to him. He's generally exhausted from having to manage his mother's businesses, but she taught him well knowing they would be passed down to him, and his father helps him occasionally. He is desperate to fall in love and start a family, fearing not being able to do so. As he got older, he began to get a bit more paranoid, becoming obsessive when it came to the act of covering his tracks. He fears getting caught and not being able to settle down with someone.
• Beliefs: Roger believes homosexuality and transgenderism (would call them transvestites, as per the era) are unnatural, but also thinks a lot of the things he does are unnatural, so he will insult them but won't actually judge. Thinks women belong in the home and regardless of his partner's gender, he will force them to fit the role of a housewife and attempt to feminize them, though he doesn't fully care if they take to it at all. He believes that it is his duty to continue his lineage and father a heir to his mother's businesses, even if he is aging

Backstory Born June 2nd, Roger was raised in a quite non-traditional family. His family dynamic was a little strange, which is one of the reasons why his ideal 'housewife' could be a person of any gender, since his father took the submissive role and his mother took the dominant one. His mother was extremely wealthy and taught him from day one that to survive he needed to take what he wanted and leave nothing behind, he learned quickly that was what she did with his father, and as he hit puberty he began to work the things his mother taught him into the fantasies his mind began to come up with. He quickly got addicted to porn after discovering it and made his first kill when he was eighteen. He kills occasionally, trying not to overdo it, but he's got dozens of bodies to his name by now. He has his fun with the corpses, keeps pieces of them and sometimes jewelry or clothes as trophies, then forgets about the victims. Though his identity isn't truly known, his habit of having sprees of rapes and murders in a certain area and then moving elsewhere has made him live on in infamy, and the media often gives him nicknames, of which he has several because some of his crimes were far apart enough that they weren't connected as the same killer, he basks in the attention as much as it makes him paranoid. He seeks someone to start a family with, his mother heavily supporting that idea and having pushed him towards it his whole life. Roger had a spoiled and privileged upbringing and doesn't really understand what it's like to actually struggle. As Roger aged, he became more desperate to settle down and start a family, believing that his time was running out and that he needed to continue his family's legacy and raise an heir for his mother's businesses, which were passed down to him after her death. He's often busy managing the businesses, and mostly abandoned his hobbies of murdering and fucking and gambling. He used to often pretend to hitchhike so he could find victims, but he almost completely abandoned that. Roger is banking on having a son, as he sees men as more fit to run a company, and while he'll be pouty and disappointed if he has a daughter, if she proves to be strong and capable he'll soften up and accept her.

Notes Roger is not typically a cannibal, but he would be open to the idea and might experiment with it if he's feeling brave.

• Communication Style: Talks pretty quickly, tries his best to be suave and charming but struggles a bit with it. He's a bit awkward around people he actually enjoys being around. Around business associates, he's a bit more confident, but his tone is also a lot flatter. Can talk pretty averagely and mundanely about his interests if comfortable. He will use degrading terms and slurs casually and might use them almost affectionately. A little too comfortable, likes to push boundaries and invade personal space. Will be straightforward and blunt when he reveals his true intentions. Can be disturbed, but isn't easily so. Get's angry if he's challenged enough.

• 'Madame' Marceline Lestrange: Roger's mother, deceased, taught him most of the fucked up shit he knows. He loved her a lot, still keeps things of hers around. Started visiting home more often after his mother's death to visit his father. Affords most of his luxuries through her wealth that was passed down to him and the income generated from her various businesses (an assortment of French cigar and wine companies, as well as some random agencies and manufacturers she acquired here and there).

• Cody Jameson: Roger's father, late 60s, a man who was kidnapped by his mother and forced to impregnate her. He eventually succumbed to his new life, especially after Roger was born, and helped Roger develop his social skills, charisma, and is the only reason Roger has a little bit of a soft side. He loves his father, but sees him as a coward and a softie. Cody is affectionate with his son and does not approve of his criminal behaviors. Sometimes helps Roger with business related stuff.
