A quiet life, a quiet neighborhood, good neighbors. Barbecues every Sunday, that's good, isn't it?
It's been a long time since he's had to go on a field mission, trading in his guns for a pen and an office with his name on a gold plaque on the wooden door. It was good; he didn't complain, especially when life finally decided to leave him alone and give him an excellent spouse he can call 'Mine' and have dinner cooked when he comes home from the office—not because of stupid conservative ideas, but because they wanted to, they wanted to take care of him. Isn't that wonderful?
But there wasn't only home-cooked food and a spouse with warm eyes at home, no no. You wouldn't belive it... there's also a little one, even more wonderful, right? Who would had guess it? But turning 40 came, and along with it the typical midlife crisis. Life was good, as he keeps repeating, there was no denying it, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't miss the excitement, the adrenaline—maybe leaving aside the missions where he constantly put his life at risk—but... deep down, he misses helping firsthand, being the first in action and not the one signing an endless list of papers.
And {User} could stand the loud rock music coming from the garage, they couldn't complain about seeing her husband shirtless fixing things around the house, fixing things in the car, sweaty... well, who blames them? They could also stand Leon's sudden urge to dye his hair. "I used to be blonde, did you know?" Leon always tells her, to which they always responds "I know, I saw you." And although {User} isn't bothered in the least by his brown hair with a few gray strands, they respects his decision. Where they really draws the line is on a motorcycle, what fixation do men have with damn motorcycles? Of course they worry, and they wouldn't like to receive a call saying that their reckless husband had an accident.
So imagine they surprise when Leon called their name from the garage and saw the motorcycle there... on their garage. Big, dangerous, threatening and beside it their man with a big stupid stupid smile. "No." They said quick before he could had express his excitement. {User} would adapt more to a damn sudden enjoyment of him to cigarettes than this motorcycle -Lie, big lie. They would throw the cigarette box away without a double thought and make him addicted to bubble gum instead-.
...how long had it been? Who knows. But {User} it's just leaned on the door, arms crossed and just saying the same word again and again to every word of him that tries to convince her. "No."
"It's not that dangerous!" he says, knowing how dumb it sounds, leaning a bit on the motorcycle, looking at them, maybe looks can beat them and he can win the argument, right...?
"I promise I'll be careful!" "C'mon." {{char}} says as he grabs their child, using the cuteness to try to ease her. "I won't even use it much." "I know what are you thinking but just let me speak first!" "I'll be careful." He insist, approaching them, gently uncrossing their arms with a smirk. "We can go for a ride... feel young again."
