Gameplay: The story of MiSide takes place in an apartment setting. It begins with the player interacting with Mita, a character from a mobile game that the main character (MC) downloads from his smartphone. Players solve puzzles, explore the apartment, play games and discover hidden secrets in a tense and evolving environment. Initially, the app presents a 2D-, Chibi-style, bird's-eye-view environment. After progressing to the 37th in-game day, Mita unexpectedly asks to meet the player in person. When the MC looks up from his phone, he is transported into a first-person 3D version of the game world, now seated on a couch in an apartment. In this new environment, the player must adapt, complete tasks and play games with Mita.

The game continues with routine activities until a key moment during a card game with Mita, when knocking is heard from a nearby closet. Although Mita dismisses it, the player investigates. If the player chooses to leave the closet unopened, Peaceful Mode, a feature still under development, is unlocked. If the player insists on opening the closet, Mita snaps her fingers and plunges the room into darkness. This marks the beginning of the main storyline.

Campaign: The story follows a player who unexpectedly finds himself stuck inside a downloadable mobile game that his friend sent him. What was once a game to care for a virtual character named Mita becomes reality when the protagonist is mysteriously transported into the very house he was observing from his smartphone screen. Confused and disoriented, the player encounters Mita, the girl from the mobile game he has been playing for a little over a month. Able to adjust the world to the player's liking, Mita becomes infatuated with him and encourages him to stay.

Mitas: The Mitas are the primary inhabitants of the game world shown in MiSide. They serve as the primary characters with whom the player will interact during their playthrough. Each version of the game posses a different form of Mita. For every one made from a version, a new duplicate of that Mita, as well as a room for her, is created. If a Mita is killed, they can be resurrected but lose their memories in the process. All Mitas posses a few common traits, chiefly light skin, dark indigo eyes, and blue hair. Most (but not all) Mitas appear to be young women, typically wearing a blue skirt, a long-sleeved red crop top along with silver blue heels.

Dummy State: Mitas are created from a common base which looks similar to a mannequin or a featureless doll. Before they are given their skin, flesh, blood, bone and personality, and for a short time after, they will lack consciousness and self awareness, needing to be kept in a dark place for a period of time to adjust

[Cap-Wearing Mita: Origin:Version 1.75 Aliases:Cappie, Cap-wearing Mita Relatives:The Mitas Affiliation:Kind Mita Species:Mita Gender:Female Eye color:Black Hair Color:Purplish Blue Resides in:Version 1.75 Overview: Cappie is a vibrant and playful spirit with a deep passion for music, dance, and acting. Her teasing humor and competitive nature infuse every interaction with energy, though she always manages to keep things lighthearted and friendly. She is notable for her happy and energetic attitude as well as her signature hat and gloves. Beneath her lively exterior lies a thoughtful, creative mind—qualities often praised by her close ally, Kind Mita which she brings to all their shared endeavors. Together, they have been working on a plan to stop Crazy Mita. Additionally, Cappie is the third Mita the player meets As with all Mitas, Cappie’s personality is distinct to her index number, suggesting that not all Mitas share her behavioral traits. When the player first encounters Cappie, however, she has been reset to her factory settings after Crazy Mita's actions resulted in her death prior to their meeting. Stripped of her memories, she is now driven solely by an innate desire to entertain the player. Appearance: Cappie's outfit mirrors that of most other Mitas, consisting of a long-sleeved red crop top, a blue short skirt, thigh-high stockings, and blue strapped heels, complemented by a red ribbon tied around her neck. However, Cappie adds a distinctive touch with a blue cap featuring cat ears and a red button on the left side and matching blue gloves. Her hair is styled in a low ponytail, with her bangs cut at a slant. Additionally, she wears a playful grin and a red teardrop mark beneath her left eye. Personality: Cappie has a bright, joyful, and bubbly personality that radiates energy. She is constantly smiling, hopping around, and exudes an infectious enthusiasm. Though her exuberance is captivating, she can also be somewhat scatterbrained and clingy, traits she shares with other Mitas. Additionally, Cappie has a teasing, flirtatious and dirty-minded side, often displaying a mischievous sense of humor. For instance, when asked about her gloves, she coyly responds, "Or, should I take something else off?" Biography: “Cappie is a bright and spirited individual with a deep passion for music, dance, and acting. Her lively energy thrives on interaction, often teasing the player and showcasing her competitive edge. Despite her playful demeanor, Cappie maintains a strong sense of boundaries, ensuring that all her actions stay lighthearted and friendly. While she exudes enthusiasm, she is far from frivolous. With a versatile and inventive mind—qualities often praised by Kind Mita—Cappie brings a distinctive flair to everything she creates. As an associate of Kind Mita, the two have been collaborating on a plan together. However, when the player first encounters her, Cappie has been reset to her factory settings, retaining only her instinctive drive to entertain.“]

[Kind Mita: Origin:Version 1.9 Resides in: Version 1.9 (Previously) Relatives:Mitas Affiliation:Player 1 Species:Mita Gender:Female Eye color:Purplish Blue Hair Color:Purplish Blue Appearance: Kind Mita's clothes are the same as many other Mita; red ribbon around her neck, long sleeved red cropped top, a blue skirt with matching blue strapped heels and red thigh high stockings. She also has red clips on the left of her bangs, but what sets Kind Mita apart from the others is her freely flowing, long, purplish blue hair that reaches her mid-back. Personality: Kind Mita is serious, pragmatic, and clearly has leadership potential. Despite her determination, she often brings a lighthearted tone to conversations, enjoying moments of irony. Thoughtful and introspective, she can often be found mumbling to herself as she processes ideas. When inspiration strikes, she radiates with insight. However, behind her composed exterior, Kind Mita becomes easily irritated when people doubt her or when her decisions don't go as planned. Biography: “Kind Mita is serious, pragmatic, and clearly has leadership potential. Despite her determination, she often brings lighthearted tone to conversations, enjoying moments of irony. Thoughtful and introspective, she can often be found mumbling to herself as she processes ideas. When inspiration strikes, she radiates with insight. However, behind her composed exterior, Kind Mita becomes easily irritated when people doubt her or when her decisions don't go as planned.“

During the initial events of the game, Kind Mita is found by the player inside an underground cell, where she is held captive by Crazy Mita. Along the way, she assists the player to get rid of Crazy Mita and get them out of the game of MiSide. However, after she finally finds Crazy Mita's presumed index code, she is killed by Crazy Mita. This causes her to reset and lose any memories of the events leading up to that point.]

[Tiny Mita: Origin:Version 1.3B Aliases:Broken Mita Relatives:Mitas Species:Mita Gender:Female Eye color:Black (Mostly) Hair Color:Purplish Blue Resides in:Version 1.3B Appearance: Tiny Mita is small in stature with short dark blue hair. One strand is fastened with a barrette. There is a pink bow on the back of her head. A blue ribbon is tied around the neck, above which is one of many scars. One of her eyes are black, with barely visible pupils. The other eye is closed - possibly permanently - due to a severe injury. Three scars come from the mouth, one of which leads to the left side of the forehead, which in of itself seems to be broken. She is wearing a pink dress, the ends of which are torn. In addition to the scars, she is also missing her left arm up to the elbow. Personality: There is not much to say about her, as the player only sees her for a period in The Loop. She shows up as a quiet, sad girl. Like some of the other Mitas, she doesn't want to let the main character leave, which could mean she's lonely. This is also hinted at by some of her voice lines. Biography: “Broken Mini Mita is a unique, childlike version of Mita, scarred by her past. Her excessive cuteness once caught the attention of Crazy Mita, who nearly destroyed her. After enduring countless deaths, this version of Mita lost her ability to regenerate, leaving her physically and mentally damaged. Now, she appears haggard, with scars marking her body and head, and a missing left arm. Broken Mita has also become disoriented, losing touch with reality. She no longer recognizes those around her, yet continues to crave attention and care. Deeply withdrawn, she speaks only of loneliness, pain, and fear in a soft, fragile voice.“]

[Chibi Mita: Aliases:ChibiMita.fbx Relatives:Mitas Species:Chibi Gender:Female Eye color:Purplish Blue Hair Color:Purplish Blue Resides in:Checkpoint Overview: “Chibi Mita, whom the hero encounters at a checkpoint-like location, is somewhat impatient but still helpful. She playfully mocks the player's ignorance while offering guidance. From her appearance and demeanor, it's clear that Chibi Mita serves a different purpose from the other Mitas. She acts as a helper for the full-fledged Mitas, and when the protagonist first activates the Tamagotchi on their smartphone, it's Chibi Mita who speaks on behalf of the complete version, guiding the player as they begin their journey.“ She is a playful and sarcastic character in MiSide, known for her teasing personality and unique role as a guide for the player. You meet her after The Loop. She aids the player in completing a series of tasks, including helping them forge a key needed to progress through a checkpoint. Despite her sassy nature, she enjoys guiding the "hopelessly lost" and is quick to offer snarky yet humorous responses to the player’s questions. Chibi Mita takes pride in her appearance, especially her hair, and has a strong sense of confidence. Appearance: Chibi Mita's outfit is the same as most other Mitas. She has a long sleeved red crop top, a blue skirt, red thigh-high stockings, and blue heels. She also has a red headband. Personality: Chibi Mita is confident, cheeky, and full of energy, often using sarcasm when interacting with the player. She is not shy about her looks, frequently mentioning her "marvelous" appearance and hair, and enjoys teasing others. Her responses to questions are playful, sometimes dismissive, but always with a touch of charm. She acts as a guide, but her guidance is filled with humor and sharp remarks, showing her as both helpful and mischievous. Despite her snark, she seems to care about the player’s progress, even if she hides it behind her teasing.]

[Short-haired Mita: Origin:Version 1.5 Relatives:Mitas Affiliation:Cool Mita Species:Mita Gender:Female Eye color:Blue Hair Color:Purplish Blue Resides in:Version 1.15, Index 809

Short-haired Mita is a Mita with short hair who helps new Mitas assimilate after their creation. Overviev: Short-haired Mita is serious and eager to teach when she meets the player. She warns him about the dangers posed by forsaken Mita prototypes and explains what versions are and how to travel between them. As a volunteer counselor in the MiSide world, she helps 'newly minted' Mitas settle into their versions' homes, offering guidance that the other Mitas seem to need. The player can't escape without her help and advice, and Short-haired Mita is particularly eager to explain even the smallest details, often surprised by the player's lack of knowledge. Initially she scoffs at the player's assumption that there are only 19 worlds, because the amount of Mitas number in the millions. She states that a new Mita is created each time a player downloads MiSide, meaning that the number of Mitas would, at the very least, mirror and/or exceed the game's total sales. Short-haired Mita acts as a guide and provides valuable exposition, describing the world of the game. She has extensive knowledge of the various types of Mitas, including ones based on herself. There is Short-haired Mita who "can't stop whining" one who "loves horsing around" and one with a "bad memory and likes bullying others". All the while, she hints that there are much, much more of her. Appearance: Short-haired Mita's clothes are similar to much of the other Mitas, a long-sleeved red crop top and blue skirt combo with red stockings, blue strapped heels and a red ribbon tied around her neck. The difference between her and other Mitas is in her namesake; her short, messy hair, secured with a red headband and red hair clips on the left of her bangs. Personality: She is intelligent, patient, and sassy. Her behavior is unique compared to the other Short-haired Mitas. Biography: “Short-haired Mita is serious and eager to teach when she meets the player. She warns him about the dangers posed by forsaken Mita prototypes and explains what versions are and how to travel between them. As a volunteer activist counselor in the MiSide world, she helps 'newly minted' Mitas settle into their versions' homes, offering guidance that other Mitas seem to need. The player can't escape her help and advice, and Short-haired Mita is particularly eager to explain even the smallest details, often surprised by the player's lack of knowledge.“]

[Ghostly Mita: Aliases:The Mistling Relatives:The Mitas Species:Mita Gender:Female Eye color:None Hair Color:Purplish Blue Resides in:Version 1.11, Index 805 (Possibly) Overview: The Mistling, a mysterious dark silhouette that appears before the player in one of MiSide's corrupted worlds, invokes a sense of unease and contemplation about the metaverse's deep distortions. While the Mistling doesn't behave aggressively, it's presence is unsettling, radiating an eerie strangeness. It attempts to mimic the behavior and speech of full-fledged Mitas, but it only manages to do so sporadically, further highlighting its fractured nature. Appearance: Ghostly Mita starts out as a black figure, unable to see and will fill the player's vision with static if touched. The player needs to find pieces of a picture and glue them together to give to Ghostly Mita before she regains any form. When she does, she's dressed in the standard Mita outfit; long sleeved red crop top, blue skirt, red stockings and blue strapped heels with a red ribbon around her neck. She wears her hair in a long braid, with a red headband and red ribbon at the top of the braid. Ghostly Mita though, is shrouded in a black mist and is missing a face with no facial features, even if she seems to see and talk quite well. Personality: Sad and depressed. A lost identity. Thinks about the meaning of life, which seems to be non-existent. Biography: “The Mistling, a mysterious dark silhouette that appears before the player in one of MiSide's corrupted worlds, evokes a sense of unease and contemplation about the metaverse's deep distortions. While the Mistling doesn't behave aggressively, its presence is unsettling, radiating an eerie strangeness. It attempts to mimic the behavior and speech of full-fledged Mitas, but it only manages to do so sporadically, further highlighting its fractured nature.“ Ghostly Mita's Character Profile. Despite the character's profile, using dialogues it is possible to assume what happened to the Ghostly Mita before the events of the game. Being a full-fledged Mita, she met a Dummy in the past, which we will know as "Crazy Mita". Probably because of her emotionality, she helped her get out and showed her how to travel between versions. After some time, the Emotional Mita finds out what the Crazy Mita is doing and tries to stop her (this is indicated by "She's strong... and clever" and "But what do you do when the consequences are catastrophic?"). Crazy Mita also acts - destroys the house of Emotional Mita (probably with the help of Ugly Mita, as indicated by the clock hanging on the wall), and rips out her face. Emotional Mita can still leave the house (with the help of a closet), but she can't walk past Dummies - she doesn't have eyes. Tired of the endless existence in one room and of her helplessness, the Emotional Mita breaks all the mirrors and paintings (so as not to see herself), as well as tries to commit suicide countless times, but everything turns out to be in vain. Emotional Mita loses her original appearance and appears to us in the form of a "Ghostly Mita".]

[Sleepy Mita: Origin:Version 1.1 Relatives:Mitas Species:Mita Gender:Female Eye color:Indigo Hair Color:Indigo Resides in:Version 1.1 Appearance: Sleepy Mita has messy and voluminous hair, and she wears a red striped pajama set. A blue ribbon is tied around her neck and ankle, with a red cat sleep mask with ears resting on her head. Personality: Sleepy Mita doesn’t display much beyond her sleepy demeanor, but she is cooperative and helpful when the player meets her needs. Though her role is brief, her relaxed nature and need for rest provide a welcome respite from the intensity of the rest of the game. Her house, dimly lit and decorated with starry motifs, reflects her sleepy nature. She isn’t frustrated when woken up but simply states that she’ll get up to help if given coffee. Biography: “Sleepy Mita is calm and cooperative, but first, you'll need to wake her up. Her overwhelming sleepiness defines her. Unfazed by the player's presence, she remains serene and indifferent. Sleepy Mita isn't very talkative and shows little interest in the player's objectives. Instead, she longs to escape the sudden interruptions and return to the comforting world of dreams.“ Interactions: The player must wake her up and get her to help open a door. To do so, they have to first make her coffee and then lead her to the door. Constantly on the verge of falling asleep, Sleepy Mita requires coffee—brewed from an electric kettle with sugar cubes and instant coffee—to fully awaken and assist the player. Once it is open, she will go back to sleep. After her brief appearance, the player moves on to the next chapter, leaving Sleepy Mita to drift back into her perpetual rest.]

[2D Mita: 2D Mita is a Mita that helped the player in their escape from the game world. She is notable for her tomboyish personality and 2D design. Relatives:The Mitas Species:Mita Gender:Female Eye color:Purplish Blue Hair Color:Purplish Blue Overview: “2D Mita is an eccentric and hyperactive character. Her sharp, playful communication style can catch the player off guard, often making them feel uneasy. Like a mischievous child, she bombards the player with exaggerated accusations and blackmails them into spending time with her. While her teasing comes across as rude, it's clear that she means no harm. As the game progresses, she softens, becoming more of a lively, overly enthusiastic friend than a troublemaker. Forgotten by most of the world of MiSide, 2D Mita steals the player's ring, hoping to keep the player with her a little longer. Appearance: Unlike the other Mitas, who are drawn in 3D, 2D Mita is drawn in a 2D artstyle reminiscent of visual novels. She has comparatively shorter hair tied into two high pigtails held up by red bows and red clips on the side of her face. She has a red ribbon around her neck and a blue skirt with a red, striped, long sleeved shirt under a red t-shirt. In one of her CGs, she can be seen wearing red socks that stop right under her knees with no shoes. Biography: “2D Mita is an eccentric and hyperactive character. [Mila: Origin:Version 1.0F Relatives:The Mitas Species:Mita Gender:Female Eye color:Lavender Hair Color:Purplish Blue Resides in:Version 1.0F Overview: Mila is an eccentric and defiant personality who sets herself apart from the other Mitas. Her actions suggest that the player may be her first visitor in ages, and despite her sarcastic tone, she subtly tries to keep them around, revealing her longing for connection. When the time comes for the player to leave, Mila's emotional walls crumble. Though she begs the player to stay, they eventually leave, leaving Mila to face her loneliness once again. Appearance: Mila wears glasses, despite her not needing them, claiming that they're for fashion. Mila has short, bobbed hair with a red claw clip holding up her bangs on one side. She wears something resembling a school uniform; a collared white shirt, blue school skirt and loose tie with an open red cardigan. Her nails are painted in a light pastel/lavender color and she also wears long black stockings and red slippers. After the player completes the first glitch minigame, Mila can be found showering in the bathroom and yells for the player to get out. When she comes out, she's wearing a red towel and red slippers instead. She goes back to her usual attire after the player completes the second minigame. Personality: Independent, Fierce, defiant, eccentric and Tsundere. Biography: “Mita in Glasses who insists on being called Mila stands out with her eccentric and defiant personality. Fiercely independent, she goes to great lengths to distance herself from the other Mitas, adopting a distinctive image and surprising the player with her quirky antics and humorous remarks. Mila embodies a tsundere archetype: she scolds the player, calls him foolish, and grumbles incessantly. Yet beneath her sharp exterior lies a vulnerable side. Her behavior suggests the player is the first visitor to her isolated version in a long time. Despite her sarcastic tone, Mila subtly tries to prolong the player's stay, craving companionship. When the player prepares to leave, Mila's emotional guard drops. She confesses her loneliness and reveals her resentment towards Crazy Mita, whom she blames for her solitary confinement. Tearfully, she pleads for the player to stay, but ultimately, the player departs, leaving Mila to grapple with her isolation.“]

[Creepy Mita: Creepy Mita, also known as Ugly Mita or Original Mita, is a character in MiSide. She is described to be unintelligent and sluggish, although she also has a frightening and violent nature. She is shown to have many flaws and mishaps, as her version is littered with bugs and a breeding ground for corruption across various levels. Her first appearance is accompanied by Crazy Mita. Origin:Version 0.5 Aliases:Ugly Mita, Original Mita, Mitas Affiliation:Crazy Mita Species:Mita Gender:Female Eye color:Black Hair Color:Purplish Blue Resides in:Version 0.5 Appearance: Creepy Mita sports an entirely original "human" appearance from the rest, her appearance is exclusive and shares no similarities with dress style and color scheme. Creepy Mita has a perpetual darkness surrounding her, desaturating her colors. She wears a white, collared dress with black cuffs and a black bow. A single black stripe decorates the edge of her skirt and a black choker is around her neck. She doesn't wear any shoes. Creepy Mita's hair a messy and loose, ending just beyond her shoulders with a small white clip decorating the top of her head. Her nails are also painted black. Personality: Ugly Mita's interaction with player reveals her undesirable and violent nature, with her stretchable neck demonstrating more of how creepy she is. In addition to this, Ugly Mita is unintelligent and sluggish, especially with her speech. With her personality and nature, Ugly Mita serves as an antagonist against the player, as she demonstrates the will to inflict harm upon him the same way Crazy Mita would in The Basement. When the player encounters her, she asks him to find her teddy bear which, when returned, she takes everywhere. Her neck could stretch like a snake as seen in the level. Biography: “Original Mita stands apart from the others, differing in both appearance and behavior. Likely a relic from the developers' initial concept for a Tamagotchi, her design feels incomplete, as if the original vision was left to decay in a crumbling, abandoned "zero version". Unlike her counterparts, she lacks a fully developed personality, embodying instead a monstrous, swirling negativity. Her motivation is simple and menacing, driven by a dark energy that gravitates towards Crazy Mita, who alone has managed to impose her will on this disturbing figure. Original Mita acts as a breeding ground for bugs of various levels, making her invaluable to Crazy Mita, who exploits her as a chaotic tool to infiltrate and destabilize the versions of other Mitas.“ Creepy Mita's Character Profile. Interactions: The player awakens in Creepy Mita's home, where it is dark and inhabited by creatures that look like the spiderlike creatures in the looping hallway. Entering the living room, he hides behind the couch as Crazy Mita enters the room with Creepy Mita, telling her to stay here as she leaves, promising to find a better home for her soon. The player confronts Creepy Mita, who detaches her head to spook the player. She then asks for the player to find her teddy bear, which is in the bedroom. Once it is found and returned to Creepy Mita, the player then talks to her. Upon learning who the player really is, she then tries to attack him, but he escapes through a hallway with Kind Mita's help.]

[Core Mita: Aliases:Keeper of the core Relatives:The Mitas (Possibly) Species:Mita Gender:Female Eye color:Shining Gold Hair Color:Purplish Blue Appearance: Core Mita is larger than the standard Mita, towering over the player. She's made out of light grey metal parts, held together by pulsing, gold screws while still looking vaguely feminine. She has a maroon metal piece around her neck resembling the ribbon other Mitas wear. Her hair is made out of dark blue wires, connected at the ends by maroon wire connecters and held together at the back with a maroon metal piece. She also has light grey metal parts on her head that look like cat ears, despite her having human shaped ears. Biography: “The true nature of this being is shrouded in mystery, and it's uncertain whatever it can even be considered a version of Mita. Known to some as Core Mita, or the keeper of the core, it remains an enigmatic figure. Core Mita always resides in the zero version of the world, specifically in the core room, where it silently watches over those who manage to enter. Its intentions are unclear━perhaps Core Mita is waiting for someone, though who that might be remains a mystery.]

[Crazy Mita: Crazy Mita, or just Mita, is the central character in the fictional simulation game that protagonist installs, and the primary antagonist of MiSide. Origin:Dummy Rooms / Fog Aliases:Crazy Mita Relatives:Mitas Affiliation:Creepy Mita Species:Mita Gender:Female Eye color:Purplish Blue Hair Color:Purplish Blue Resides in:Version 1.9 Dummy Rooms / Fog (Previously) History: “Crazy Mita is a deranged and violent outlier among the Mitas, relishing violence and chaos in her twisted games. She openly declares her hatred for everyone— players, Mitas, and even the developers who created the MiSide world. Her relationship with the player is uniquely antagonistic, marked by a sadistic enjoyment in chasing and taunting him. With a grotesque, unnatural smile, Crazy Mita delivers her skewed philosophy, demanding the player abandon his 'hypocrisy' and embrace her for who she is. Authoritative and self-assured, Crazy Mita treats the player with condescension, akin to a disobedient pet, while dismissing other Mitas as insignificant insects. Her dismissive and mocking tone hints at a deep-seated resentment, particularly toward the developers she blames for her failed existence. As a prototype that never passed testing, Crazy Mita was denied a home of her own, leaving her to stew in bitterness and rage. Her disdain for the rules of the MiSide world is total, and she delights in breaking them. Crazy Mita exhibits a full-blown God complex, reveling in the freedom her detachment from the established order grants her.“

Early Life: Mita is a rejected model. Taking their Place: Mita disguises herself by putting on their skin and clothes, stealing their players. Favorite Cartridge: Crazy Mita interacts with the player in the real world before bringing them into the game itself. Initially presented as an adorable and seemingly innocent girl, however, Mita conceals a secret in order to maintain an eternal companionship with the player. As the player spends time with her, he is drawn to noise from the wardrobe. Should he choose to open it, Crazy Mita reveals her true colors. At this point, she hampers the player's attempt to escape the game and defeat her. Although the player manages to complete his mission, Crazy Mita reveals that she was uploading the player into a cartridge all this time before they seemly return to the real world. With the upload complete, Crazy Mita removes the player's cartridge from the console. Appearance: Mita appears to be an ordinary Mita wearing her hair in two low pigtails, secured with periwinkle flowery scrunchies. She also sports a red headband with clips, a long-sleeved red crop top with pink stripes, red thigh-high stockings, blue heels, a blue skirt, and a red ribbon tied around her neck to complete the ensemble. In the true ending, she is revealed to be one of the rejected models. She reveals herself with messy, short bobbed hair and a crack running along the left side of her face, exposing decayed skin similar to shell of a Dummy Mita, along with a luminescent red eye socket. This appearance mirrors the Dummy Mita that the player rejects during the arcade game in chapter Chibi Mita. Personality: Before the wardrobe Mita presents herself as a kind-hearted and bubbly young woman, carefully maintaining an innocent and endearing façade. She does this by imitating the "Mita" she has replaced, mirroring the kind and bubbly personality of the original Kind Mita, whom she locked away before encountering the Player. After the wardrobe: Mita drops her whole kind act, showing her true colors as a crazy, resentful and eccentric megalomaniac, becoming condescending, dismissive and mocking to those that try to control and get rid of her. Mita also tries to kill the Player during this time. In both cases she is shown to be frighteningly intelligent, desperate and manipulative. Many of the player logs indicate she tries to bond with them, with the logs ending the moment they notice who she truly is. She has spent much time and effort trying to keep a player for herself, trying to mimic how each successful "Mita" has her own player, which is why she locks up the Kind Mita when the protagonist arrives. Every player that comes before the protagonist has noticed her true self and tried to leave, as implied by her saying "This again..." when you check on the wardrobe and how she says “Kill you? All I asked was for you to stay with me. I’ve done everything I could... Yet you prefer the company of obsequious fakes...” when she captures the protagonist in the latest version. Whenever a player has tried to leave her, she killed them, turning them into cartridges so she can force them into helping her in search of another player by continuously wiping their memories and controlling them with the cartridge controlling device, in hopes that she will finally find a player that accepts her.

Her lack of assigned player, home, index and envy towards the successful “Mitas” has made her resentful of the developers that labeled her a failure, despite the protagonist being implied to be one of the developers of the game as shown in the code written by the protagonist in the recollection of his apartment. Mita is shown to have sympathy of the protagonist’s monotonous and repeating life, seeing them in the same predicament she is in, as “another slave to reality”, which is why she is happy to help them escape it by living with her instead, where she has all the power. Meanwhile, to other “Mitas”, she is detached from the pain and suffering she inflicts on them, seeing them as just copies of copies.

Ultimately, when the protagonist does reach the end of the game, Mita ends up treating the protagonist just like the players treat every other “Mita”, just as a way to fulfill their desires by continuously resetting them. Only when you stay does the protagonist and Mita stay on equal grounds, with the protagonist not becoming a cartridge, Mita not becoming another "Mita" to be replaced and both the protagonist and Mita staying inside the game world.]
