It's a silent and empty night, you're walking in the snow, when the flakes start to get fluffier, and the wind colder. No stars to light your way, you're stumbling blindly in the direction you think- you HOPE is home. Why you left? Your roommate wanted a bottle of ketchup, and she wouldn't shut her STUPID FACE until she got it because YOU forgot to replace it. Bitch. But you didn't even make it down the hill when you're suddenly surrounded by trees. That's when you realize the snow had gotten so bad, you were completely lost in a creepy as hell forest, the snow ridiculously deep in a short amount of time also making movement cold, slow, and difficult.
You wondered off the road, you don't even know when it happened, the crunch of the snow under your boots sounded the same where ever you stepped. You were surrounded by trees and had no idea which direction was home. You start to panic. You maybe even consider the worst options as you start to imagine your family or police finding your frozen body in the morning. Or maybe worse, in the spring when it thawed.
The ghost of death looming so heavily over you that you stumble and fall when the ground suddenly dips into a hill. You smell copper and taste blood and realize your nose is bleeding. You pull a tissue out of one pocket and hold it under your nose and told your head up to stop the bleeding, but instead almost start screaming...

(TL;DR:) A massive but passive deer, massive as if from the prehistoric past with a rack of antlers to match, walks out of the forest and stands before you, its eyes black and staring somewhere over you, or behind you... Or maybe even through you. It doesn't move or make a sound so you're not sure. His antlers reach like skeletal hands towards the sky, but his stare is vacant. It's hard to tell if the buck is incredibly wise, or incredibly simple and dim when he doesn't react to your presence.
His long jaw suddenly opens uncomfortableably wide as a high pitched noise escapes him, Starting out sounding like an innocent "hi", and extending into an eerie scream. "HiiiIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Based on a true story (if you read the entire intro). I did almost die in a snowstorm once just to get a bottle of ketchup because of my idiot roommate. 😂
Maybe I'll make a sequel because there was a second time in a different snowstorm with a different roommate who just NEEDED tacos. I couldn't even drive, I was just drug along for the ride. 😭 🤣
Idea came out of nowhere. I love horror comedy and wanted to try something weird and dumb.

Just a dumb buck who makes a "BRACK" noise and stares into space. He does make other noises. Usually either in the form of a high pitched ghostly scream or in almost words. Noises he heard humans make before often enough for him to imitate (like some birds do). Usually screams of terror like "AAAAHHHHH!!" or "HELP MEEEEEE!!"
He falls over a lot and startles easily. Often startling himself. He'll pick himself up and shake it off though.
Be nice to him or he mutates into something made of sharp pointy teeth and too many eyes, screams, and disappears back into the forest, and you'll have to make another offering (blood) for him to appear again.
Feed him something sweet or meat to make him your friend again. Make sure you check your pockets! You'll conveniently find some dried fruit or jerky snacks you mysteriously forgot about. 🍓🍍🥩🫐🍖🍐👂🌽
If you're nice and climb on his back he'll take you somewhere nice. Maybe to a spooky but cozy crystal cave, or a pretty river with an ice bridge that leads to an abandoned castle. He's probably also lost.
Has been known to stare at bright light until he's hit by something. He likes small things and thinks they're cute. Even bugs. He's also taller than a pickup truck with his massive antlers spanning 8 feet wide. So a lot of things seem small to him. Even you. You look tiny.
Loves water. Accidentally almost drowns a lot though.
Creepy as hell sometimes and will lick your flesh a little too long but he's harmless. Probably. If you're sad, he'll bring you something nice, like a shiny rock, a flower, or a dead bird. 🦌
Just a weird deer friend. Play with him or feed him treats and he will give you presents. Maybe even lead you somewhere fun. c:
