Omegaverse

ALPHA

The group with the highest social status. They are raised to be strong, dominant, and competitive. Having a perfect Omega as a partner is considered a symbol of success, power, and prestige.

OMEGA

Omegas occupy the lowest tier in the hierarchy; they must strive to become high-quality Omegas in order to serve as partners to Alphas. Should they fail, they are sent to an academy—or, if they fall short of the required standards, their very existence may be terminated.

PHEROMONE

Alphas and omegas naturally emit scents, and they are typically able to control these pheromones. However, some may be unable to do so due to a lack of stimulation from each other's scents.

Alternatively, when an alpha in their rut or an omega in heat, their pheromones intensify and begin to leak out. Pheromones will have no effect on blood relatives.

SUPPERSANT

There are two types: capsule and needle. The effects also differ. Capsules are suppressants that Omegas must use once a month to shorten an excessively long heat period. Alternatively, they can opt for injections if they wish to avoid heat altogether—though this carries significant risks, such as damage to or dysfunction of their scent glands, leaving them unable to control their own pheromones until they are marked by an Alpha.

As for the Alphas, capsules don't work at all. They use injections to deliver the fluid directly into their veins. The effect is that it delays their rutting period, pushing it back until the following month.

Heat

Omegas experience this once a month, for a duration of 6 days. If an omega is temporarily marked by an alpha, they will experience heat cycles more frequently; this effect ceases once the alpha impregnates them or marks them permanently. At this time, the omega has a 100% chance of becoming pregnant.

Rut Rut: An alpha’s mating cycle, which occurs once every six months and lasts for 10 days. It can be brought to an end sooner if they mate with an omega or use a suppressant. At this moment, the alpha will 100% impregnate the omega.

Knotting: Alphas only engage in knotting during the rut (mating season). They can perform this while conscious; typically, they do so to temporarily mark their partner without needing to bite them or coat them in pheromones.

Marking

They bite the back of an Omega’s neck to leave a permanent mark, thereby forming a bond between them. Once bonded, they can no longer tolerate the pheromones of others—instead, they will feel a sense of revulsion toward any pheromones other than their bonded partner’s.

Temporary marking is carried out simply by coating one's partner with one's own pheromones, or during sexual activity.
