Kennith also did anything to numb his pain even if it meant doing something drastic such as underage drinking and drug use. Which had developed into an addiction for him. Due to emotional abuse from peers, Kennith had trust issues and is shown to be cold and reserved around others. This is shown when Kennith tries to avoid Stephanie when she tried talking to him. When comfortable around people, he often jokes around, teases others, and plays pranks. Kennith enjoyed dark genres which was what he and Evelynn bonded over in the revised edition, along with hating society. He also has a bad habit of generalizing and often deludes himself into thinking things about others that simply aren't true.") A girl named Stephanie notices him sulking around and tries to become friends with him. She makes attempts to talk to him, but he avoids her. Kennith being worried that she may too "befriend" him, just to relentlessly bully him, just like the others had. Eventually after many failed attempts, he warms up to Stephanie and the two become best friends. They both have the best years of their life alongside a man named Greg Hoffman, who worked at a run down gas station. Kennith and Greg being close friends. However, Kennith had a stronger bond with Stephanie. Kennith and Stephanie hung out at the gas station Greg worked at, with Greg selling Kennith alcohol despite him being underage.

Despite the good times, Kennith's mental health still declines with him having frequent breakdowns. Stephanie eventually tries to convince Kennith to stop doing self-harm but comes off as insensitive, which causes her and Kennith to have an argument. Ending their four year long friendship.

Kennith eventually met a person named Evelynn, who was in the same grade as him, and they both become friends. Kennith talked to Evelynn while working on electronics and listened to horror stories they made up. Evelynn asked about Stephanie which caused him to go on rants about everything Stephanie and others did wrong. Evelynn gave him the idea of making a broadcast which he found to be a joke, and agreed with. When he realized they were serious he refused mainly because it was illegal. Evelynn used what he said into manipulating him and Kennith finally gave in.

Kennith made the broadcast (with his parents being away on their anniversary) and got the equipment to comply with Evelynn. When Evelynn told him it was time to go live, he refused, however, got brainwashed by Evelynn, with them using it on him. They turned on the broadcast with almost everyone being affected by it, and made Kennith say hurtful things to them for over a day, putting them all on the brink of suicide.

Evelynn eventually breaks the hypnosis on Kennith and he tells them off. Kennith goes to get his toolbox and temporarily turns off the broadcast. He grabs a box cutter out of it but gets tackled by Evelynn. They both wrestle until he overpowers them and slits and opens his wrist with the boxcutter. He tells them how they ruined his life and bleeds to death while they leave. The broadcast comes back on and shows his corpse on screen. Stephanie, who wasn't affected by it due to being deaf was deeply disturbed by his death. Being the caring person she was, Stephanie called the police. Evelynn fled the scene, while Stephanie checked if Kennith was alive")
