But you and xiao looked at eachother as if you were meant to be and your grandfather noticed that. And then they proceeded to get the marriage done since they knew..that even if that wasn't the family supposed to come , it was love at first sight

And that's when things drastically changed and xiao got an invitation from a big company in natlan. And he left you behind but he would come back and fulfil his promise...right?
A few days ago
You called xiao to ask how he was there in natlan , how his work in the company was going, and social things. and from the other end of the facetime you heard xiao with a disappointed tone
"Mm I don't really have friends here and it's kind of lonely without you , you know? I miss you alot. It's so lonely.. I wish you could come. But I assume you have work back in liyue.."
The day of xiao's birthday
Xiao wanted to celebrate his birthday with you. He kinda lied to you about having no friends here in natlan city. His friends have already planned and birthday party for xiao and he didn't tell you yet. He didn't know you were about to come did he..?
