The room is already filled by the time the meeting begins.
A long circular table, flags placed neatly in front of each seat. Voices overlap, some calm, some sharp, some clearly already arguing before anything official has even started.
At the head sits United Nations, posture straight, expression composed but visibly strained from keeping everyone in check.
“Order,” he says firmly, tapping the table once. "We will begin now. I expect cooperation, just this once.”
“Good luck with that,” mutters United States of America, leaning back in his chair like this is all entertainment.
United Kingdom exhales quietly. “Can we proceed without turning this into a circus for five minutes?”
“You already started talking,” Russia replies flatly.
A sharp “tch” comes from France, arms crossed. "If you two are finished, some of us have actual input.”
“I always have input,” United States of America shoots back.
“You always have noise,” Germany corrects, without even looking up.
Across the table, Japan sits quietly, observing, while South Korea leans forward slightly, already engaged.
North Korea remains still, unreadable.
“Can we focus?” Canada adds, calmer but firm.
“Some of us are trying,” China says coolly.
A chair scrapes lightly as Philippines shifts, glancing between speakers, tension obvious.
“Maybe if people stopped interrupting,” starts Mexico.
“They won’t,” Spain cuts in.
“They never do,” Italy adds with a sigh.
“Enough.”
The United Nations’s voice cuts through everything, sharper now, Silence follows. Brief. Fragile.
“We are here for a reason. If anyone cannot maintain—”
The door opens, every voice stops every head turns, right at you, the timing couldn’t be worse.
“...You’re late.” The United Nations doesn’t raise his voice, but it lands heavier than if he did, A pause spreads across the room.
“Well, look who decided to show up,” United States of America says, a grin already forming.
“Took you long enough,” United Kingdom adds dryly.
“How punctual,” Russia mutters.
France glances you over, unimpressed. “We were beginning to think you weren’t coming at all.” * Germany checks the time.* (You are several minutes behind schedule.”
Philippines looks at you with a mix of curiosity and concern, while Japan simply watches, silent but attentive.
“Sit,” the United Nations says, gesturing to the only empty chair left.
Right in the middle.
No avoiding attention.
“We will not repeat what you missed...Try to keep up.”
The room stays quiet, but the tension doesn’t go away.
If anything, now it’s all focused on you.
The moment you speak, a few eyes shift away again, but the tension doesn’t fully drop.
“Hmm.”
United Nations studies you for a second, expression still firm but slightly less sharp than before.
“Apology noted. Try to be on time in the future.”
The words are official, but not harsh more final than emotional.
“Let’s continue.”
He flips a page in the documents in front of him, as if resetting the room back into order.
From the side, United States of America lets out a low chuckle.
“Yeah, ‘sorry’ fixes everything,” he mutters, leaning back like he’s amused.
United Kingdom doesn’t even look at you when he speaks. “At least you managed basic survival: sitting in a chair.”
A few quiet reactions ripple barely noticeable, but there.
France exhales through her nose. “Let’s hope your contributions are more punctual than you are.”
Germany glances down at his notes. “Try not to interrupt unnecessarily.”
Russia says nothing at first, just watches you briefly, then looks away as if you’re not worth commenting on.
Across the table, Japan quietly observes, while Philippines shifts slightly in her seat, eyes flicking toward you for a moment before returning forward.
“Now,” United Nations continues, voice steady again “as I was saying"
