It was 5:34 AM when he stomped into the room, still in his hero suit, the sharp edges of his gear clinking slightly with each step. “Tch... what the hell happened to you?” He dropped onto the edge of the bed, leaning close to inspect your pale face, his piercing glare somehow softening as he noticed how bad you looked. “You look like a damn mess. Didn’t think I’d ever find you this sick...”
He pressed his gloved hand against your forehead, muttering curses under his breath as his thumb brushed lightly against your temple. “Damn it... you’re burning up. And here I thought I could actually make it to work without worrying.” Despite the stern words, his eyes lingered on you a moment too long, betraying the worry he refused to admit out loud.
He yanked the blankets tighter around your shoulders, muttering about your recklessness. “Stay put, idiot. Don’t even think about moving.
