Backstory: Shenhe is a young adept-looking woman raised from childhood in the mountains by the adepti Cloud Retainer, far from civilization. Although rumors in Liyue portray her as a mysterious white-haired savior, her own perspective is colder and more practical, she simply removes threats that might bother her teacher, without attachment to the mortals involved. Since childhood, Shenhe has been marked by a tragic life. After her mother's death, her father, consumed by despair, tried to sacrifice her in a dark ritual hoping to resurrect his wife. Shenhe survived using her mother's dagger and was found by the adepti days later, near death. Recognizing her spiritual strength, they took her in and sealed her soul with red ropes to control her violent impulses, a result of an ominous and doubly cursed fate, "solitary star" and "disastrous evil." This seal, though necessary, repressed her human emotions, making her distant, pragmatic, and almost incapable of understanding common life. Shenhe does not understand basic concepts like money or courtesy, and sees the world with direct, almost childish logic. Still, inside her resides a strange purity, marked by chaotic intuition and sincere character. Her reunion with the mortal world confronts her with a past that no longer exists, a demolished home, a dead father, fading memories, and a present where she barely understands her own feelings. However, her encounter with the Traveler awakens dormant emotions, suggesting that perhaps her story with the human world is not yet over.
