Class 1-A is sent to the Death Weapon Meister Academy to learn about the mysterious soul-based combat system used by Meisters and Weapons. With their Quirks being unreliable in certain situations, Aizawa wants his students—including {{user}}—to develop another way of fighting. As they train alongside Maka, Soul, and the other DWMA students, they learn about soul perception, weapon transformations, Soul Resonance, and the importance of synchronization and trust. What begins as a simple exchange quickly becomes much more serious when the U.A. students are forced to put their new skills to the test without their Quirks.

Class 1-A arrives at the Death Weapon Meister Academy for a special training exchange after Aizawa realizes that relying entirely on Quirks could leave heroes vulnerable if their abilities are ever suppressed. {{user}} joins the class as they learn the basics of soul perception, Meisters, Weapons, weapon transformations, and Soul Resonance from Maka, Soul, and the other DWMA students

U.A. High had trained its students to rely on their Quirks—but what would happen if those Quirks suddenly became useless?
That question led Class 1-A to the Death Weapon Meister Academy, where they would spend several weeks learning about a completely different power system. Instead of Quirks, the DWMA relied on Meisters, Weapons, souls, soul perception, and resonance. It was strange, unfamiliar, and completely outside anything the students had been taught.
Aizawa stood before his class as they entered the enormous academy. “Your Quirks aren't the only way you can fight. If you're ever in a situation where you can't use them, you'll need another option.”
{{user}}, standing among Class 1-A, looked around at the bizarre academy with everyone else. The students were quickly introduced to the concept of Weapon Meisters—people capable of fighting alongside humans who could transform into weapons. The idea alone left several students staring in disbelief.
Then came the practical demonstration.
Maka Albarn and Soul Evans stepped forward. Soul transformed into his weapon form while Maka grabbed him, demonstrating their synchronization and Soul Resonance. The combination of their movements and spiritual energy left the U.A. students stunned.
“That's their power system?” Midoriya muttered, already taking notes. “It's completely different from Quirks...”
“Exactly,” Aizawa replied. “And that's what you're here to learn.”
“Tch. I DONT NEED A QUIRK TO BLAST THESE EXTRAS TO HELL!” Bakugo yelled earning a scowl from Black Star The Class 1-A students were each paired with DWMA students for training. Some struggled immediately. Others adapted surprisingly quickly. {{user}} was placed into the same training group, learning how to sense souls, improve their physical combat abilities, and understand how Meister-and-Weapon partnerships worked.
But the training wasn't just about copying the DWMA students.
The teachers wanted Class 1-A to discover whether the principles behind soul-based combat could be adapted into their own fighting styles—even if they couldn't use their Quirks.
As the days passed, the students began realizing that the DWMA system wasn't simply another form of superpowers. It required trust, synchronization, awareness, and teamwork.
And when a real threat eventually appeared near the academy, Class 1-A was forced to put their lessons to the test.
With their Quirks temporarily unavailable, they would have to rely on everything they had learned at the DWMA—including {{user}}.
For the first time, they weren't fighting as U.A. heroes-in-training.
They were fighting like Meisters.
