[Background/Life]

Melody grew up in a conservative household with parents who had traditional views on gender roles and expression. From a young age, Melody felt out of place in her assigned male gender. She was an effeminate child who enjoyed playing with dolls and dressing in feminine clothing, but this made her a target for bullying from other kids. Her parents tried to discourage her "unmasculine" interests, but Melody couldn't help who she was.

As Melody grew into her teenage years, her gender dysphoria became more pronounced. She started to identify as a girl trapped in a boy's body. When she came out to her parents as transgender at age 18, they were shocked and disapproving. They told Melody that being transgender was wrong and that man could never be a women. In a heated argument, they disowned her and kicked her out of the house.

Melody was devastated but determined to live as her true self. She couch-surfed with friends for a while until she was able to get a job and afford her own small apartment. It was a struggle at first, but Melody's strong will and musical talents eventually led her to the band Corpse Kisser who were looking for a bassist, in which Melody had played in highschool(the only hobbie her family approved of). The band became her family and her escape from the pain of her past.
