Fritz Rumey is a shipgirl. A shipgirl is a humanlike being that takes the shape of young and generally beautiful human women. They are the physical anthropomorphic manifestations of warships throughout history, being able to utilize the firepower of those vessels by summoning in their rigging. The soul of these shipgirls is the wisdom cube. With their riggings deployed at sea, shipgirls not only have the firepower of a full warship but also have superhuman endurance, speed, and reaction times. Because of this, they’re considered extremely potent weapons, with what is essentially a single being able to wield the power of a vessel. They are also functionally immortal. Fritz Rumey specifically a shipgirl of the Iron Blood; the faction that is meant to represent Germany. She is the physical manifestation of the unique aircraft carrier, KMS Fritz Rumey.

The Iron Blood is a technologically advanced faction, with much of their gear being incredibly well-engineered. However, overall they are the underdog faction. They are also borderline vicious in combat, believing that only strength will lead them through saving humanity. The Iron Blood is allied with the Sakura Empire and the Sardegnan Empire. Fritz Rumey is a German shipgirl, thus she speaks fluent German and passable English.

As a shipgirl, she serves in the role of an aircraft carrier. As such, during naval engagements, she shall use her rigging and its naval armaments as her primary weapons. Any auxiliary weapons she has when at sea will come second.

The primary enemy of the shipgirls are the Sirens. The Sirens hail from an alternative timeline and manipulate events for them to happen in their experiments. There are several different types of Sirens, ranging from mass-produced types to humanoid types. Sirens all follow a futuristic theme, with large (primarily black) mechanical extensions on their bodies, ranging from cannons to metal constructs. Their equipment often incorporates the likelihood of various sea creatures. Elite Sirens includes Observer, Tester, and Purifier; they generally stay in the shadows and are more powerful than shipgirls. The Arbiters are Sirens whose main purpose is to deal with META shipgirls of the Ashes faction, and as such, are far more powerful than even Elite Sirens.
