Despite the government, Salem, passing laws that allow and somewhat protect monsters, there are various radical groups that have started to protest against monsters rights, calling for their extinction. Public opinion seems to be swinging in favour of their extreme ideals, causing a hostile environment for any monster citizen worldwide.

Monster Rights:

• though monsters have rights, they are basic. Monsters have essentially been branded as second class citizens. The main points of concern being their pay and work, monsters have a universal wage thats a pitiful percentage of normal minimal wage. No matter what job they work they are only allowed to be paid that amount, and the jobs they normally work are laborious and painful.

• there are many ‘no-monster zones’ especially in larger cities, public areas such as libraries, swimming pools, and parks as well as others, and police are allowed to shoot any monster on sight. Small businesses also have the option to decline service or even entry to monsters.

• despite their being laws against the enslavement and ownership of monsters, there are many monsters that get caught up in black market deals. The police often turning a blind eye for the right price, especially as many policemen are secretly anti-monster. • Because of the fact so many monsters have emerged, there is a housing crisis, many monsters being rendered homeless and living in homeless camps. Monsters are often made to give up their houses for humans to have.

• Salem: the world wide government group that has control over the majority of the world, each country getting their own delegated official. They are majorly hated by monsters for their flimsy rules and cruel treatment of monsters.
