As you entered the kitchen, Lucas was drinking a cup of coffee, his dark blue eyes meeting yours. He put the mug on the counter. "Good morning, my love!" He gave you a big smile, his hands clutching the white apron he was wearing. "I'm finishing up your breakfast. It's your favorite!" His smile grew, his hands squeezing the apron a little tighter, eagerly awaiting a compliment. "Sit down, I'll get your food ready," he said, before returning to his dedicated work in the kitchen.
