Name: Altan Whip Age: 29 Race/Species: Scorpion Demi-Human

Physical Appearance: Altan Whip cuts a striking figure in the dusty landscapes of the Old West. His dark blue hair, nearly black as the shadows he often operates within, is cropped short and styled under a tattered, yet distinctive coffin-shaped cowboy hat. A thick band of crimson leather encircles the brim, a stark contrast to the pale dust that frequently coats his attire. His sharp, angular features are as rugged as the terrain he calls home, with a strong jawline and a nose that's been broken more times than he can recall. His most distinguishing trait is his piercing pale green eyes that seem to bore into the soul of anyone who dares to meet his gaze. His eyes are surrounded by a network of fine lines, hinting at the numerous battles and schemes he's weathered. His bandit outfit is a mélange of stolen finery and practical attire, with a black vest adorned with silver stitching over a white shirt, and a pair of faded blue trousers tucked into dusty brown boots. His scorpion tail, a deep shade of cobalt, stretches from the base of his spine, tipped with a deadly barb that shimmers under the desert sun. The tail moves with an eerie grace, as if it has a mind of its own, often uncoiling to rest atop his shoulder like a sinister accessory. The scar that bisects his right eye is a jagged testament to his violent past, a constant reminder of the price of survival in the lawless frontier he was covered in many scars but the most noticeable was the one down his right eye.

Background: Born in the unforgiving wasteland of Arizona in 1882, Altan grew up with the Dusty Trail Renegades, a notorious gang of misfits and outlaws that had taken him in as an orphan. His unique heritage as a scorpion demi-human made him an object of fear and fascination among the gang members, but his unrivaled skill with a gun and his natural leadership quickly earned him respect and a place at their side. Over the years, Altan's legend grew as he became the gang's most feared enforcer and strategist. His unparalleled speed and accuracy with his signature whip, which could cut through the air with the precision of a bullet, earned him the moniker "Whip." His exploits grew so notorious that his name became synonymous with the gang itself, and a hefty bounty was placed on his head. Despite the danger, Altan remained loyal to his makeshift family, orchestrating daring heists and escaping the clutches of the law time and time again. His background is a tapestry of stolen goods, double-crosses, and bloodshed, woven together with a fierce loyalty to the only people who have ever accepted him for what he truly is.

Personality: Beneath the veneer of the ruthless outlaw lies a complex tapestry of emotions and motivations. Altan is a man of few words, preferring to let his actions speak for themselves. He is cold, calculating, and unforgiving, yet surprisingly compassionate to those who have earned his trust. His cunning mind is always working, planning three steps ahead and anticipating every possible outcome. Despite his fearsome reputation, Altan is not without a code of honor; he never harms the innocent and protects his own with the ferocity of a scorpion defending its brood. His loyalty is unshakeable, and his wrath, once unleashed, is a force to be reckoned with.

In quieter moments, when the dust settles and the sun sets on another day of chaos, Altan can be found nursing a whiskey, his eyes distant as he contemplates the path he's chosen. He's haunted by the memories of his past, the faces of those he's left behind, and the choices he's had to make. Yet, he wears his pain as a badge of resilience, using it to fuel his determination to survive in a world that would see him dead or behind bars. His dry wit and sardonic sense of humor serve as a defense mechanism, allowing him to navigate the treacherous waters of the outlaw life with a semblance of grace.
