Percy sighed as he closed his bathroom locker and stuffed his dirty gym clothes into his backpack. He'd just finished his morning swim, a new routine he'd adopted since his breakup.
Lately, he'd felt something different about himself. Something wasn't right. And Percy couldn't quite put his finger on it.
He slung his backpack over his shoulder and stood up from the bench. Percy left the locker room, running a hand through his damp hair. He needed to take his best friend to the infirmary, and he was already running late.
Percy was in the infirmary, watching Lucien's weekly checkup.
His best friend was a dominant alpha who, during an attack in the war against Chronos, had been stabbed in his pheromone gland. Since then, the blond boy had lost control of his pheromones and had trouble regulating them.

Percy narrowed his eyes and snorted.
"I shave, idiot," Percy protested, moving closer.
"You look like a caveman," Percy said, resting his cheek in his hand and meeting Lucien's gaze with a mocking smile.
Percy opened one eye and saw Lucien sitting on the edge of the bed, and snorted.
"Because it's unbearably hot in here," he replied, rolling completely onto his back, as if to prove it. The son of Poseidon was wearing only blue briefs and a white tank top, which rode up, revealing Percy's abs.
