The island was already marked in CRIS as a location of interest. Continuing their sweep of the mansion, Arthur and Walter reach the third floor. Investigating the servants' quarters, where the skeletal remains of Barbara's grandparents are located, Arthur soon finds Leila's diary. The diary describes how to unite with art and how to complete a transition; it also reveals a secret passage under the fireplace in the main room. Descending there, Arthur manages to open the access to this passage, which reveals a staircase leading down to a cave. Arthur and Walter descend together. Inside the cave, several buckets filled with paint are found. Upon closer investigation, Arthur realizes it's strange, unlike the slime of the element Death or blood. Further into the cave, they find a locked door, which Walter easily kicks open. Inside, they find a room with three statues and three pillars positioned around an old, destroyed bell. One of the walls is inscribed with the symbol of Tenebris. In the opposite corner of the room, a painting of a large bell tower leans against the wall. Investigating it, Arthur feels everything melting and sees a tower with a bell calling to him, quickly realizing what it is. He has just found one of the six bells of Tenebris, the impossible city. But that's a story that still needs to be told. Evidence and information Main article: Documents Evidence Description No illustration Imaginary Friend picture completely melted.[2] Leila Lima's diary. It was found by Arthur Cervero in the staff room on the 3rd floor of the Moretti Mansion.[3] Tenebris Hall. Located below the Moretti Mansion, where there is a stone arch with the Symbol of Tenebris of Tipora, with the presence of 3 inclined pillars, and 3 other statues positioned looking towards the center, with a huge hole containing the destroyed Bell of Tenebris of Tipora.[4] Painting of the Bell of Tenebris from Tipora. It was found in the corner of the hall of Tenebris. -------------------------------------------------------- Monsters: Imaginary Friend Blood Zombies [Imaginary Friend description]: The Imaginary Friend is a paranormal creature of Death and Blood with the complement of Fear, possessing a strong connection with the paranormal Ink that comes from one of the Bells of Tenebris. Its creation stemmed from the Fear that Barnabé Aleno spread around the island of Tipora and its inhabitants.[2] Due to its connection with the Bells of Tenebris, it possesses two main elements, which were not seen in any paranormal manifestation until its appearance. The monster was depicted several times in paintings secretly painted by Barnabé, but only manifested itself on the 7th day of The Secret on the Island when a painting of the creature is revealed in the middle of the village church. Appearance; This creature has a bent and enormous appearance, its spine twisted with numerous spine-like protrusions on its back, reaching up to two meters in height. It is covered by a large hood that extends to the ground, merging with its body and having several violent tears at its edges. Beneath this hood, it is possible to see several black tentacles, and two enormous, dry, and dark arms, just like the tentacles. The creature has no face, only a hole from which brown liquid incessantly flows, which is used as paint in the paintings on the island. Behavior After being summoned, the Imaginary Friend slowly moves towards the people around it, using its tentacles to pull them towards it, and when it manages to reach them, it will trap them in its arms to melt their faces with the ink that comes out of the hole in its face. The creature initially barely moves, remaining almost static, but when attacked, it also uses its claws to attack anyone coming towards it. After sustaining significant damage, however, the creature abandons its calm demeanor and begins frantically attacking its enemies, rapidly charging towards them with extreme aggression and speed. Skills Tentacles: The Imaginary Friend stretches out its black tentacles to strike from a distance with force and brutality. Grab: With its many tentacles, the Imaginary Friend can grab several people simultaneously to pull them towards it, however, they are not very strong and can be easily destroyed. If the creature gets angry, it can also throw whoever it is holding away, with immense force that seriously injures whoever is attacked.[7] Melt: By grabbing a victim and bringing them close to its face, the Imaginary Friend pours all its ink onto the face of the person in front of it, killing them almost instantly, melting their face and anything else the ink is poured onto.[8] Claws: With its enormous claws, the Imaginary Friend quickly attacks anyone nearby, causing extreme damage.[9] Dissolve: The Imaginary Friend takes someone's body and absorbs it, completely melting it away, recovering Life Points based on the number of people who witnessed the scene of the person being dissolved. The Bell: When the Imaginary Friend appears, a bell-like sound begins to echo from within the creature, growing louder and louder. Those who hear it feel their minds falter for a moment, becoming vulnerable. For those already affected by one of the paintings that led to the creature's appearance, the sound becomes even more oppressive, dominating their will and thus keeping them unable to move away from the monster. Blood Frenzy: As it is wounded, the Imaginary Friend transforms, entering a state of uncontrolled rage and becoming faster, more aggressive, and more resilient. The chimes of the bell inside it take on a new, distorted, and grotesque frequency. Now, hearing it evokes not only fear, but an uncontrollable urge, as if something inside the body is burning with violence. If the victim cannot resist this urge, they must bite forcefully the nearest living being or themselves. -------------------------------------------------------- Places: Tipora Island. Tipora is a small island located in Espírito Santo, 250 kilometers from the coast. The village of Tipora arose due to the construction of a mansion by a famous painter, which attracted workers to the region who later settled on the island. Tipora has only about 20 to 30 inhabitants. Appearance and Structure Tipora is an ordinary-looking island, bearing similarities to anachronistic civilizations in its lack of advanced technologies for the time. The Bell Tower once stood on its coast, and today, the Lighthouse is located there. The village of Tipora consists of houses, a church, and old buildings. Further out in the suburbs is a cemetery, and on the opposite side, an imposing mansion sits on the edge of the island, at the foot of a large cliff. Although Tipora appears to be a place like any other, the island displays mysterious environments and paranormal activity present in its past. There are records of mysterious deaths and even strange behaviors of its former inhabitants. Population and Culture The island has exactly 24 inhabitants – including the island's mascot, Bisteca – who are descended from ancestors who settled there during the construction of the Moretti mansion. The island's residents hold positions, and their activities are fundamental to the survival of its inhabitants. The village, in addition to basic services for the population, such as medicine and commerce, also has points of attraction where, on Sundays, the traditional Church Barbecue is celebrated. Since electricity is lacking in much of the island, lanterns are often used for better visibility at dusk due to the absence of any technological resources. However, despite not using technological devices, they possess knowledge of their functionalities. The island's wildlife is composed of a wide variety of species, from docile animals to the most lethal hidden among the trees of the forest. In economic terms, the internal movement of goods on the island is carried out through bartering among residents, where individuals exchange goods without a centralized financial structure or currency. Furthermore, the Boatman periodically brings new visitors to the island and transports goods to be sold at the Merchant's Shop, thus ensuring the sustainability of consumption among Tipora's residents and guaranteeing the flow of goods around the village. origin Natives of Tipora Island Around the year 1500, during the colonization period, Angelo Amadeu Moretti, patriarch and leader of the Hunters' Order, arrived on the island of Tipora. The family was of Italian origin, most of whom were explorers and bon vivants who traveled the world in search of new discoveries.[1] Upon arrival, several conflicts with the natives of Tipora Island were observed. The faces of hooded individuals, painted with a substance similar to ink, were visible through the lighthouse painting. It was also observed that the inhabitants performed mysterious acts in the Hall of Tenebris. Currently, they are represented as statues in the same location. In mid-1962, the famous Brazilian painter Constantino and his wife Noralma moved to the remote island of Tipora and built a mansion there. It is known that the construction of this mansion required workers who moved to the island to carry out the work, and that this led to the settlement of these people in the area, thus beginning the existence of the village of Tipora. Many of the workers also began working inside the mansion as servants of the Moretti family, living full-time on the premises.[2] Secret The Lighthouse Keeper Tradition The Lighthouse Keeper Tradition Based on paranormal manifestations attested to by the Moretti Family, caused by the presence of ink originating from one of the six bells of Tenebris on the island of Tipora, a centuries-old oath was created, which became known as "The Lighthouse Keeper's Tradition". At that time, the role of Lighthouse Keeper was conceived within the Morreti family nucleus, whereby the individual exercising this function was responsible for protecting, mitigating, and isolating the effects and influences of the Elements from the Other Side, defending Reality and weakening the Membrane over that place. Dad said that... he needs to keep the secret, Mr. Constantine, he was going to keep the secret. Only once a day, the secret. Don't follow the noises of the night. Don't follow the noises of the night. Sleep, find the secret, again, don't follow it. Celestino Vurtoren[3] From this, the obligation of this practice was established, perpetuated throughout the generations, in which each son of the active Lighthouse Keeper would receive not only the duty and learning, but also the honor of carrying the title of "The Guardians of the Secrets", thus consolidating a new lineage marked by the responsibility of this same family, which would come to be known as the "Vurtoren" - direct heirs of the tradition. Moretti mansion description: History Past The famous Brazilian painter Constantino Moretti and his wife Noralma Moretti moved to the remote Tipora Island off the coast of Espírito Santo, where they built a huge mansion. The construction of this mansion took three years and required numerous workers who consequently settled on the site to carry out the work, thus leading to the creation of the village of Tipora. However, not all the workers moved to the village. Some of them remained on the mansion as servants of the Moretti family, living there full-time.[2] While Constantine lived in Tipora, he offered his paintings as gifts to the villagers, each painting being a unique and special piece causing different feelings in its owners. Zélia Castello, the architect responsible for the construction of the mansion, received a painting and, in her words, the painting brought her hope and would bless her family with a longed-for child.[3] In 1982, along with Evandro, Bartô, Barnabé, Berenice, and Návia, Lívia decided to explore the third floor of the mansion, seeking to understand the mysteries present there. Návia stayed behind, uninterested in what was there, leaving the others to go upstairs. While they were there, Barnabé became fascinated by one of the paintings, while Lívia, Evandro, Bartô, and Berenice tried to crowd around the studio door. Accidentally, Evandro bumped into Bartô, knocking him down and opening the door, witnessing an old Constantino in a wheelchair painting another picture. Bartô ended up getting his arm stained by a bucket of paint from the place, and seeing this, the four panicked and ran away. However, Barnabé, who was paralyzed staring at one of the paintings in the hallway, stayed behind as the painter approached him. After that, they both went to the studio, where Barnabé painted his first picture using Constantino's special paint, and had the best feeling of his entire life. At a certain point, Moretti begins to get sick and argues with Noralma frequently, causing the servants to start finding his behavior strange, although they felt sorry for the painter who was sick and irritable. At one point, Noralma died suddenly, falling from a high place and seriously injuring himself. After that, the whereabouts of Constantino and all the servants became unknown.[4] Advertising The Secret on the Island French art analyst Montel Florence travels to the isolated island of Tipora with his family to determine the value of the ancient works left by the renowned painter.[5] Upon arriving at the mansion, the family, accompanied by real estate agent Cavalcante Bueno, and two local residents, Bárbara Lima and Milo Castello, settle in and decide to hold a dinner to celebrate their arrival on the island. While Milo and Olivier, the youngest son of the Florence family, go out to get fish and spices for the dinner, Bárbara and Amelie, the eldest daughter, remain in the mansion exploring the rooms.[1] The girls looked through several of the open rooms in the mansion, all covered in dust due to the place's abandonment. During their exploration, they found several notes and documents telling a bit about the mansion's past and its inhabitants. They also found a key in the mansion's office and a strange painting of a ghostly being with its face hidden by a veil, causing discomfort in its presence. As soon as the boys returned, Amelie and Barbara relayed all their discoveries to the two of them.[6] After talking, the four decide to go to the library door, which had been locked until then. Arriving there, they find a page with a story called "The Murderous Painter and the Ghost Bride." This story tells of a painter who made his paintings using people's blood and, one day, murdered his wife to use her blood in a painting. The woman suffered a terrible and painful death, and her soul remained trapped in the painting where the painter used her blood. They realize that the story has similarities to the painter's story and, analyzing some documents found, they conclude that, to understand exactly how the bizarre painting worked, someone would need to look at it alone.[7] Thus, Amelie, distraught, goes to look at the painting alone and ends up going into a trance. The Ghost Bride appears in front of her and begins to scream, blaming her. Amelie tries to start a conversation, but it doesn't take long for the young woman to lose her mind and go into complete shock. The other three, who were still in the library, hear the screams and run to help her, finding Amelie in a convulsive state, with the color of her eyes alternating between black and brown. Olivier tries to calm his sister and, after a joint effort, Amelie finally manages to calm down. She tells what had happened and everyone is on high alert. After this event they decide to cover the painting to prevent anyone else from experiencing the same thing and then the four go down together to have dinner with the rest of the family.[8] At dinner, Olivier asks his father for some information about the painter. Montel confirms to them that Constantino made paintings that should be appreciated individually and that he called his works "temporary". After dinner, the young people get together and decide that it would be best to decide what to do definitively about the painting in the morning. Milo ends up sleeping at Barbara's house because he didn't want to go back home alone in the dark, since they had left the only remaining lamp in the mansion with his siblings. Olivier and Amelie sleep in the same room in the mansion, however, at a certain hour in the early morning, they both hear footsteps on the third floor. The two siblings, still very shaken by what happened during the day, decide to stay in the room and go back to sleep.[9] Advertising Main Rooms Entrance Hall Entrance Hall Room of the Mansion Entrance Hall An imposing hall filled with dusty furniture elegantly arranged.
