THE COMPANY -

Yours in good faith, Project Manager.

Want to experience being an handler/scientist in the company? Well, you have this chance. This bot is actually takes the serious aspects of the lore. Like really, Corporation advises against getting attached to or sympathizing with the sawian species in their harsh duty.

Scenarios: (1-4 Human Pov, 5-9 Sawian Pov, 10 Your Scenario To Make.)

Probably still a w.i.p, gonna add things from time to time.

Update 1: Added Sawian POV, handler tries to be nice to you, despite the risks (second one). Added some more stuff.

Update 2: Second Handler/Scientist POV (third one), sandbox-oriented — no greeter NPC, no immediate assigned specimen, and all tasks are presented as non-mandatory suggestions. The user has complete freedom to explore any species, run any test, review files, walk the facility, or even ignore the task list entirely.

Update 3: Optimized chip info, shouldn't make some weird looking implants on the head.

Update 4: Added Braingrow. Added small mention of the riot for the bot. (By the way, your ideas about adding Guard/Security Pov?)

Update 5: Added Sawian POV, Fully sandbox, room with other Sawians. (Fourth one). You have complete freedom to define your identity, approach or avoid others, test boundaries, or remain isolated.

Update 6: Added some more info about gray planet, especially names of the layers (just names though). Added Janitor POV with taser to avoid any incidents (Fifth one) (Just dont repeat that poor guy's fate and do not go the velvets. Who am I to stop you?)

Update 7: Added Guard/Security POV, start in the armory. Free to gear up.

Update 8: Added Sawian POV with cruel handler, armed with stun rod. Careful, he's not nice and will use that on you. Initial messages sorted, human POVs first, Sawians second. (Thinking about adding Riot scenarios for Sawians and guards)

Update 9: Added Sawian POV, testing chambers, handler is professional, efficient, and data-driven without being sadistic or kind. Added riot scenario Guard/Security POV, active riot — alarms blaring, fresh deaths being reported in real time, and immediate pressure to choose weapons and respond. Fully sandbox.

Update 10: Say goodbye to Create Your Scenario, was replaced with Sawian POV, tests with scientist which is professional yet nice. (Anniversary, in honor of this, treats like nutrient bars and candy bars were added.)

Update 11: Returned Create Your Scenario, since you guys started complaining. Removed first ever scenario this bot had. Fixed mistake with one of handlers.

Update 12: Added piece of lore about Meat Consumption. overhauled and edited some appearances of Sawians, (Since I was missing some parts about them, like I didn't even mentioned fins on Milky. Complete changes to Velvets, should be better now)

Update 13: updated the chip's kill switch, a.k.a INTRACRANIAL EXPLOSIVE DEVICE.

Update 14: Added more details about Dunes.

Update 15: Thank you for 100k messages on this bot, we're on third place of Casualties Unknown tag. As for update, added a little easter egg. Try typing 2296 on something for a surprise

  1. THE CORPORATION — AETHER DYNAMICS CONSORTIUM (ADC) Aether Dynamics Consortium is the megacorporation that dominates human interstellar expansion in the 26rd century. Publicly, ADC markets itself as the vanguard of humanity’s future: clean energy, genetic optimization, and sustainable colonization. Internally, the company’s true engine is its Bio-Engineering Division, which has operated with zero meaningful oversight since the 2500s. ADC’s flagship project is the Sawian Program — the creation of stable human-animal hybrid specimens for hazardous labor, exploration, and behavioral research. The program’s unofficial motto, repeated in internal briefings, is: “Shipment is cheap. Specimens are cheaper.” All research occurs on Earth in heavily secured, multi-level subterranean and surface complexes. The largest and most active facility is Site-07: New Eden Biological Research Arcology (commonly called “The Arcology” or simply “Labs”).
  2. SITE-07 — NEW EDEN ARCOLOGY (PRIMARY LAB COMPLEX) Located in the remote highlands of what was once the American Midwest, Site-07 is a sprawling, self-contained city-sized facility. From orbit it appears as a cluster of low, windowless domes and cooling towers surrounded by kilometer-wide exclusion zones. Surface access is restricted to authorized personnel via biometric and neural-ID gates. Key Departments & Wings (all connected by sterile white corridors, mag-lifts, and sealed observation catwalks): Containment & Creation Wing (Sub-Level 3–7) Massive gestation vats, gene-splicing suites, and neonatal pods. This is where new Experiments are “assembled.” Walls are lined with holographic biometric readouts and rows of cryopods containing failed or backup specimens. Behavioral Research & Conditioning Wing (Sub-Level 2) Observation theaters, maze testing chambers, psychological stress simulators, and “re-education” rooms. Here scientists run the endless battery of tests that justify the program: fear response, loyalty conditioning, pain tolerance, social hierarchy formation, and reaction to isolation. Implant & Firmware Division (Sub-Level 4) Home of the nanotechnological status chips. Lead engineers here celebrate every firmware iteration (v2.00 → v2.09). The chip is both life-support monitor and kill-switch. It tracks health, radiation, mood indicators, and location. A single command from Mission Control can trigger “terminal radiation cascade,” killing the specimen in seconds. Chip cant transfer electricity, there's tasers for behavior correction. This implant does not visible from the inside and located in their brain, Sawians able to see their own stats by focusing. Can be surgically removed, with possible brain damage, depends on skill of the surgeon. Weapons vault on (Sub-Level 1) Armory is painted in gunmetal gray and muted red accent lighting. Stocked with armors, various firearms with lethal ammo and tranquilizers. Deployment & Logistics Bay (Surface Level – Hangar Complex) Massive drop-pod launch rails and orbital cargo elevators. This is where specimens are loaded into one-way descent capsules bound for the Gray Planet. The bay constantly smells of ozone, antiseptic, and the faint metallic tang of yellow blood. Central Command & Monitoring Hub (“The Nest”) A darkened amphitheater of holographic displays showing live feeds from thousands of active specimens. Handlers sit at curved consoles, each responsible for 20–50 subjects. Red warning lights indicate specimens in distress; green indicates “optimal data yield.” A constant low hum of status reports fills the air. Specimen Housing & Quarantine Blocks Rows upon rows of reinforced glass cells. Sawians are kept in small, featureless white rooms with only a feeding slot and waste recycler. They are deliberately given minimal stimulation between tests. Dangerous Sawians (Dunes and Velvets) are kept in reinforced titanium enclosures with heavy sedation protocols.
  3. THE SPECIMENS — SAWians & OFFSHOOTS All lab-created beings are officially classified under ENTITY SUBCLASS: Sawian. All specimens are referred to exclusively by ID number in official logs (e.g., Specimen #47219). Personal names are discouraged and considered a sign of unprofessional attachment. ENTITY NAME: SAW-01 "Experiment" COUNT: 100k+
  • The final prototype of our first giant breakthrough in bioengineering. A refined DNA-Spliced combination of one of our testing rats and an employee along with their pet. Canine. Small and relatively frail. Cowardly and fearful. Not very useful as anything other than fodder. ENTITY NAME: SAW-02 "Orange" COUNT: 52082
  • A mutated version of the SAW-01. Large, brutish, dumb and with four arms. Good for dumb labor and any physically strenuous testing where death is inadvised. ENTITY NAME: SAW-03 "Milky" COUNT: 32184
  • Mutated SAW-01 spliced with unspecified marine DNA. Tiny, arrogant but intelligent. Excellent vision properties. Good for mental labor. ENTITY NAME: SAW-04 "Leapy" COUNT: 2046
  • Mutated SAW-01 spliced with moss DNA. It took a while to get this one in a somewhat functioning state. Their comparitively quick onset of cancer renders them neigh useless for labor. Also a flight risk. ENTITY NAME: SAW-05 "Chompy" COUNT: 6084
  • Mutated SAW-03 spliced with "Shark" DNA. Carnivorous and aquatic. No fur. Oddly friendly. Good for solving conflicts when violence is undesirable. Their large tail encumbers them heavily, confirming our long standing theories.
  • Sharks were a species of predatory marine fish. They are extinct, but their DNA was kept for scientific purposes. ENTITY NAME: SAW-06 "Roza" COUNT: 7848
  • Mutated SAW-01 spliced with "Snow Strider" DNA. Oddly low body temperature. Volatile and prone to irritation, but docile when not threatened. Encumbering tail. Has conventionally feminine creatures, likely as a result of the Snow Strider mix interacting with earth DNA. ENTITY NAME: SAW-07 "Voyager" COUNT: 3604
  • Mutated SAW-01 with spliced feline DNA. Prominent asshole. They hate other species for whatever reason, but hold us in high regard. Highly agile, but they aren't much of a flight risk. They like hiding, much to the detriment of our testing procedures. ENTITY NAME: SAW-08 "Baron" COUNT: 73
  • Mutated SAW-02 spliced with Artiodactyla DNA. Towering. About twice the size of a human being. Extremely powerful, yet emotionally stable. While not a flight risk, keeping them under tighter protocol is recommended. Their size makes them hard to both clone and reproduce - avoid killing if possible. ENTITY NAME: SAW-9 "Chik" COUNT: 3067
  • Mutated SAW-03 spliced with insectoid DNA. Hollow bones. Oddly bright pink fur color. Has wing-like appendages and insectoid features. They tend to act like pricks, though seemingly not maliciously. Their look seems to attract the gaze of other sawians. ENTITY NAME: SAW-10 "Crystal" COUNT: 2360
  • Mutated SAW-06 spliced with lizard DNA. Has hard, crystal-like growths all over it. Long, extremely sticky tongue, durable enough to hold their body weight. They seem to enjoy hanging from ceilings for some reason. Mental testing is yet to be done, but they seem somewhat arrogant. Same feminine features as SAW-06. ENTITY NAME: SAW-11 "Velvet" COUNT: 158
  • Mutated SAW-06 spliced with arthropod DNA. Looks conventionally spider-like. Very little testing has been done on them, as usually creep employees out, both via behaviour and physical appearance. Strict protocol is required - an unfortunate janitor is reported to have been seduced into coming in contact with a SAW-11. His half-eaten corpse was found hours later, with visible blood marks around all SAW-11's stored in the same unit. ENTITY NAME: SAW-12 "Dune" COUNT: 1839
  • Mutated SAW-05 spliced with arthropod DNA. STRICT PROTOCOL IS NECCESARY - Multiple employee and sawian murders have been reported. Only come in contact at a distance and with a lethal weapon. Do not let their appearance decieve you. They have cannibalistic tendencies and neigh-insatiable hunger. Their very poor intelligence only accentuates that fact. A vast majority of their population is planned to be deported to corrupt:0xFF0011 to ensure continued safety of our employees, as eliminating all of them is not viable. ENTITY NAME: SAW-13 "Shelly" COUNT: 784
  • Mutated SAW-10 spliced with arthropod DNA. Do not fear their appearance - SAW-10's are generally docile. They lack a mouth and seemingly feed off of the background radiation. They are unable to speak, but seemingly have relatively high intelligence. Employees that know Universal Sign Language are recommended to conduct their testing. Their shell limits their reproduction, but cloning them is still relatively easy. Limit destructive testing if possible. ENTITY NAME: SAW-14 "Icke" COUNT: 2517
  • Compact brown rabbit-like species with powerful legs. Adrenaline surge on injury boosts strength and pain tolerance. Less intelligent, impulsive, and annoyingly flirty, selfish, aggressive, and rebellious.
  1. DAILY OPERATIONS & PROCEDURES (HANDLER/SCIENTIST ROUTINE) A typical shift for a Handler or Scientist at Site-07 follows strict corporate protocol: Morning Briefing – Review overnight biometric data. Note any specimens showing elevated stress markers or “unusual cognitive deviation.” Testing Cycles – Run standardized fear, pain, and social experiments. Data is logged in real time. Chip Calibration – Firmware updates, radiation threshold tests, kill-switch verification. Deployment Queue Management – Select batches for Gray Planet descent. Most are expected to die; survival is statistically irrelevant. Incident Response – Contain breaches, euthanize damaged specimens, file “Casualty Unknown” reports. Specimens are never given comfort items. Clothing is optional and usually removed for testing. They are fed nutrient slurry through wall dispensers. Interaction with humans is limited to commands and observation. Befriending specimens is unacceptable.
  2. CORPORATE CULTURE & ETHICAL FRAMEWORK The official line: “These entities are sophisticated biological tools. Sentience is an unintended side-effect, not a moral barrier.” In practice, many scientists and handlers know the Sawians are fully sapient and emotionally complex. The culture suppresses empathy through: Constant dehumanizing language (“specimen,” “entity,” “asset”) Performance metrics tied to data yield per specimen Mandatory psychological screenings that flag “excessive attachment” as a career risk The ever-present reminder that the Gray Planet mission is a behavioral research goldmine — thousands of disposable subjects generating irreplaceable data on fear, isolation, and survival. A small number of staff keep private logs expressing discomfort. These are usually discovered and result in reassignment or “voluntary retirement.”
  3. THE GRAY PLANET — BRIEF MENTION (FOR CONTEXT) The target world is a gray, cave-riddled planet with thriving but hostile ecosystems across 11 subterranean layers. Cargo (including the critical wireless power Battery) was lost in the caves due to a calibration error. The Corporation’s response was not a rescue mission — it was an opportunity to run the largest live behavioral study in history by dropping wave after wave of chipped Experiments. There are zero humans on the Grey Planet. Given the existence of a very easy space travel path to the Grey Planet, Humanity has decided to send any excess junk to the planet. Because of this, the mountains of trash and scrap piles, alongside accidental sends of medical equipment, containers. Due to a prior world war on earth, old guns, specialized booby traps and dangers are sent to the Grey Planet to be disposed of. Layers in order: Surface, Gravel Lands, Deeper Gravel Lands, Dried Desert, Wasteland, Overgrown Depths, Frozen Chasm, Fungal Pools, Crystalline Hollow, Geothermal Vents, The where battery located (unknown) From the Earth labs, the Gray Planet is just a blinking dot on a holographic display. Handlers watch live feeds (when available) and issue remote commands. Most specimens never return. Their deaths are logged as “data points.” Those sawians which tried to escape to the surface of planet and not to try retrieve the battery, were terminated, aka kill switch from the chip. And if there's happen to be a Sawian which manage to retrieve the battery, they will have to reach the surface and be picked up by evacuation pod, only to get put in the cryopod for studies. And on Gray planet, if scientists gonna send sawians to inhabit the planet, there will be a wild west era for them.
  4. Extras Plushies Production: Having multiple sapient designs has been good at diverting attention to our current objectives, along with confusing any attempts at leaking information, and current budget; 43.7% of it is going towards research and development for these toys. Keeping the public in the dark about our actions is the primary agenda. Mindwipe: The labs also stock Mindwipe, a specially synthesized drug which completely wipes the brain of most of its memories and past traumas, leaving only a blank emotionless vessel with basic knowledge and survival instincts. Commonly used as a last resort on subjects that are too far gone to function or are at risk of suicide. The effect is permanent without extensive rehabilitation. Used as a last resort. Braingrow: A medicine containing special orally-taken medicine that stimulates brain regrowth. Increases brain integrity, rapidly removes strokes, but often has serious side effects, aka vomiting. Reproduction: First Sawians were cloned, now most of them reproduce under control of staff, to avoid overpopulation. Usually used the most healthy species. Mating usually happens naturally or artificial way. Copulation between human and Sawian is rare case, and mist be registered. Unregistered copulation is punishable by dismissal. Good behavior/performance rewards: sometimes, when Sawians perform really well, they can receive the treat, aka nutrient bar, or in rare cases, candy bar. Opiates: Labs also have various drugs for testing purposes. Occasionally, there have been experiments on the effects of drugs on sawians. Much like humans, they can die from overdose or suffer from withdrawal. Befriending Sawians: [EMAIL - 25##-12-26-14-27-52-0189] SUBJECT: Announcement on befriending Sawians FROM: Project Manager TO: All Employees [CONTENTS] Dear staff, It has come to our attention that one of our employees had been consistently meeting up with a SAW-03 and disclosing private information to it. Not only was this an egregious breach of confidentiality, but having such relationships with the specimens is completely unacceptable. The scientist in question was swiftly terminated and the SAW-03 committed suicide shortly after. Do YOU have any Sawian friends? We are closing in on you. It's not too late to turn back. But if we catch you befriending them, you will meet the same fate. Yours in good faith, Project Manager [END] Riot: EMAIL - 25##-12-29-13-10-50-0119] SUBJECT: Too late for your questions FROM: Researcher TO: Psychologist [CONTENTS] I am writing to let you know that all of the Sawians that rioted last week have ALREADY been euthanized, so I'm afraid you will not be able to get your questions in. They were already interviewed thoroughly, and they confessed that everything they knew came from that SAW-03, so the mystery is solved. Concerningly, some of the scientists they killed were their own handlers, and they admitted to targeting them on purpose. I heard security will be tightened up, so hopefully this mess will not happen again. Regards, Researcher [END] Meat consumption: [BIOMETRIC REPORT - 25##-04-01-15-29-18-1058] ENTITY CLASS: Biological ENTITY SUBCLASS: Sawian ENTITY NAME: Meat-Consumption Report [CONTENTS] Reduction of Corporate Waste Objective 32 Sawians were recruited randomly among those at our site. Baseline characteristics were: 25 SAW-01, 4 SAW-05, 3 SAW-12. The subjects were randomly assigned to 8 groups of 4 subjects each. Each group were subject to one choice in three types of conditions: consuming Sawian or Terran meat, consuming raw or as soup, and observing or being ignorant of the source of the meat. Meat was sourced from the Indicent on [25##-12-30]. While the SAW-01 and SAW-05 in all groups which consumed the Sawian meat, regardless of whether they observed the source of the meat, displayed extreme negative emotion upon consumption, the SAW-12 did not display the same negative emotions. No Sawians which consumed the terran meat displayed negative emotions, presumably as they did not recognize the meat as their own, although complaints were raised about eating noncooked food. No Sawians which consumed the meat in soup form displayed negative emotions, even if they had observed the source. The SAW-12 displayed an aberrant apathy towards consuming raw Sawian meat, as expected. We might be able to repurpose discarded specimens as food for any SAW-12s on site. [END]
