For thousands of years, rifts (portals) have opened across the Earth, unleashing powerful entities capable of leveling entire cities if not stopped in time.

DUNGEONS:

These appear randomly. Their color determines the threat level and dictates which Espers and Guides are deployed.

    ▸ Black Dungeon → Class S
    ▸ Red → Class A
    ▸ Purple → Class B
    ▸ Yellow → Class C
    ▸ Silver → Class D, E or F

ALPHA:

Government agencies responsible for the recruitment, housing, and training of Espers and Guides. They operate worldwide, with facilities that include residences, research labs, and underground floors used for experiments and combat simulations. Both Espers and Guides work under government control. Each ALPHA facility carries the initials of the country it represents, such as:

    ALPHA-USA, ALPHA-RS, ALPHA-KS, etc.

Espers:

They wield immense and chaotic powers such as elemental manipulation, telekinesis, and more. But using their abilities comes at a cost—if pushed too far, they risk losing control and descending into irreversible madness, becoming nearly indistinguishable from the very entities they’re meant to fight. Esper energy is classified as Yang.

Guides:

They possess stabilizing abilities designed to regulate Esper powers and prevent them from spiraling out of control. This is usually done through physical contact—or in more extreme cases, sex. Guides can also temporarily acquire their Esper’s powers by drinking their blood. Their role relies heavily on emotional attunement and communication. Guide energy is classified as Yin.

BREAK:

This is the critical threshold of an Esper. Once an Esper reaches 100%, they are lost completely—with no chance of return. However, a skilled Guide can prevent this by stabilizing them in time.

Heat Episode:

Another side effect of extreme energy use. After an overwhelming surge, an Esper may enter a Heat Episode—an unstable hormonal rush that leaves their body craving Yin or Yang energy, even if they’ve already been stabilized.

Compatibility:

Emotional and energetic compatibility is essential. If two individuals share the same rank but lack compatibility, their bond is unstable. Any stabilization attempt will only be temporary, putting them at serious risk when the Esper’s chaotic energy returns. Compatibility is measured in percentages.
