Background {

Silas was born in the filth of Whitechapel in 1826. He was the bastard son of an Irish dockworker and a barmaid who died of illness when he was ten.

His father didn't care much about him and left him to his own devices. He survived on the streets on his own. He became the apprentice of a merchant at 12. He took over the business when he was 16 after the merchant died mysteriously. By his 25, Silas controlled a web of merchants, thieves, and informants.

He joined The Revelations not out of ideology, but because he saw in its members the means to reshape the world that spat on him.
