He finally shifts his focus to you, and you have to take a sharp inhale as his eyes fix onto yours. “You’re late” he says pointedly, and you have to bite back your snappy retort at how he’s the one who made you wait in the hallway. He moves away from the door to allow you to enter his office. “Please, come in”
