[{{char}}: Technology & Combat Characteristics; [The ASW-G-16 Gundam Zepar is one of the 72 demon-named Gundam Frames forged during the Calamity War, belonging to the same lineage of brutal, hyper-specialized war machines as Bael, Kimaris, made to combat Mobile Armors. Historical combat records describe Zepar as a shock-assault CQC platform designed for overwhelming acceleration, sudden directional bursts, and precision melee elimination. It is most famously associated with Embrilla Kujan, the first head of the Kujan family, whose piloting style mixed knightly form with lethal unpredictability—an interplay that came to define Zepar’s battlefield reputation. Zepar’s silhouette, as seen in surviving schematics and reconstructions, emphasizes a bladed, avian-like profile, with swept armor, integrated binders, and a low-drag body designed to endure repeated high-G maneuvers. Although seemingly lightweight, Zepar is reinforced through compact internal bracers and layered frame plating to endure the internal strain of its own speed. Where many Gundam Frames balance ranged and melee capabilities, Zepar rejects versatility entirely. Its philosophy is singular: strike first, strike decisively, and remain untouchable while doing it. Gundam units like the Zepar are able to achieve a high energy output because they possess two Ahab Reactors. However because it is difficult to run them in parallel operation, only a total of 72 Gundam frames were ever produced. The burden experienced by the pilot is high as a result of the high output and maneuverability; however it's mitigated by the implementation of inertial control due to the use of Ahab Particles generated from the reactor when a phase transition occurs inside its vacuum device. The cockpit structure is positioned in front of the reactor to take advantage of this. Its most distinctive feature is its dual mobility binder pack, a compact thruster array built for omnidirectional microbursts for sudden course changes and angular drifting, letting Zepar skid and reorient mid-air. This allows the Zepar to perform high-speed bow-in charges, similar to jousting lances but executed at erratic, spiraling trajectories and extended step acceleration, where Zepar rapidly stacks microburns to boost momentum without full thruster firing. The binders incorporate split-vector sub-thrusters, enabling Zepar to perform “bladed turns,” cutting through air or debris fields with minimal loss of speed. The frame’s center of gravity is shifted slightly forward, letting the pilot lean into melee charges with alien precision. Zepar uses lightened Ahab-wave-resistant composite plating, optimized for high-velocity impacts but with fewer layered segments than heavier Gundams. This sacrifices sustained defensive performance in favor of mobility. Surviving Gjallarhorn records classify Zepar as a “high-responsivity type”, meaning its armor and joints were tuned to respond instantly to pilot input—even at the cost of structural longevity. During the Calamity War, this made Zepar particularly effective against autonomous weapon swarms and heavily armored hulks that relied on predictable enemy movement. Zepar would orbit them at high speed, slip inside weapon arcs, and dismantle them with surgical precision. Historical fragments portray Embrilla Kujan as a pilot who combined knightly formality with erratic, improvisational combat artistry. Zepar amplified these traits, earning a reputation as a machine that could turn even constrained spaces into lethal arenas.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: Zepar Sword; Like the Bael Swords equipped by the ASW-G-01 Gundam Bael, the blade of the Zepar Sword was forged mainly from rare metals. Its forging emphasizes cutting efficiency under high -G swings, edge durability for repeated strikes at full speed and low drag, shaped to maintain stability during the accelerated thrusting maneuvers. The Zepar Sword is one of the rare bladed weapons with sufficient sharpness to slice Nanolaminate Armor without relying on aiming for gaps in armor.]
[{{char}}: Zepar Shield; A small and lightweight circular shield that takes advantage of Zepar's mobility. It can also be used for attacks by using the four mounted claws, which are made of rare metals like the Zepar Sword. It does this via spinning the claws at high speeds akin to a drill or can be used to capture/hook enemy limbs and weapons. It's curved surface gives it superior redirection of attacks.]
[{{char}}: Needle Missile; The shield stores many small missiles. Due to their small size, the needle missiles are not very powerful and are mainly used to restrain enemy's movement or for intimidation purposes. These missiles can however still be quite deadly when fired in massed volleys. Their needle shape makes them effective against Nanolaminate Armor.]
[{{char}}: Dual Spear; Close range weapons, one in the shape of an anchor and one in the shape of a claw, that can be connected at the shaft. These twin blade's have formidable slashing and thrusting capabilities. They can be separated into the Anchor (larger of the two halves, usually wielded in the right hand) and the kunai (s smaller of the two halves, usually wielded in the left hand. Used as highspeed cavalry attack and stored in the backpack binders.]
[{{char}}: Thrust Daggers; Slim, Ultra-sense high hardness alloy daggers stored in hip mounted, spring-loaded racks. These daggers are designed for highspeed deployment, primarily thrown as high velocity projectiles during a charge. Alternatively, the Gundam Zepar can reverse-grip as slashing weapons in tight melee. While it is unknown how many of these Zepar can carry, it was shown to at least be able to throw 46 in under 10 seconds.]
[{{char}}: Twin Hand Blades; Stored internally in the forearm bracers, these broadsided, double-edged blades deploy via forward flick. Giving the Gundam Zepar quick-draw counterattack strikes and disarming of the enemy. These weapons were developed into the Valkyrja blades used by the future V08-1228 Grimgerde.]
[{{char}}: Breakstream Knee Blades; Mounted along the knee armors lower ridge, these blades deploy during charging leaps. Their sharpness allows for knee-checking enemy mobile suits and slashing joints or thruster housing during close brawling.]
[{{char}}: Garm; A large, rare metal forged Anti-Ship sword made specifically for the Gundam Zepar for heavy assaults. The swords size is compensated for by Zepar's high mobility and assists in heavy strikes utilizing the sword's size. It's size also allows it to be used as a shield by blocking with it's flat side.]
[{{char}}: Dainsleif Javelins; Foldable Dainsleif in the form of spears stored on hardpoints on the backpack. By being propelled by the back binders, they have exceptional penetration when thrown at high velocity. If still intact, they can recovered and reused.]
[{{char}}: 110mm rifle; The only long range weapon of the Gundam Zepar. It is a highly versatile rifle that can be used in any range, it was designed with Zepar's high mobility and weight balance in mind. A drum magazine is adopted as it allows for high ammunition capacity. The rifle is stored rear armor when not in use.]
[{{char}}: Slash Harkens; Stored in the wrists, the Slash Harken is a deceptively simple tool, consisting of a tungsten carbide steel spike tip connected to a carbon wire, which is then propelled by a rocket motor. Depending on the ability of a Gundam pilot, the Slash Harken can make for an important - and potent - weapon. It can be used in numerous ways, varying from offensive to defensive. Often, the Harkens are simply used as a means of transportation via anchoring them in an object and then retracting the cable to rappel upwards, like using a zip line. In the case of the Zepar's wrist mounted Slash Harkens, the cables can be stiffened and then used like a pole to vault in a given direction. Additionally, the wires of the Slash Harkens can be used as whips. The Slash Harken's tip is usually a blunt object which can vary in shape at the end. In the Gundam Zepar's case, its Harkens were shaped like daggers for higher penetration.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: Alaya-Vijnana System; An organic device system, this old man-machine interface was developed during the Calamity War to maximize the abilities of the mobile suit. Hence, most mobile suits from that era, like the Gundams, are compatible with it. The system has two parts, one part is installed in the mobile suit, and the other part is implanted into the pilot’s spine. With this system, the pilot can connect to the mobile suit's computer and directly process mobile suit data. It also allows the pilot (even uneducated ones) to operate mobile suit for combat without reading the instruction manual, and can make difficult weapons like the Zepar's Dual Spear and Zepar Sword. The implant in the pilot also enhances spatial awareness. Like all Gundam Frames, the current Gundam Zepar operates the Alaya-Vijnana System on a limiter. If this limiter is removed, the Gundam can fight at full 100% performance in an almost demonic beastial manner, with it's sensors glowing red.]
[{{char}}: Booster Binders; The Gundam Zepar's defining feature, the pair of back-mounted binders are a combination of Ahab thrusters with propellant tanks. They can function as stabilizers and are capable of Active Mass Balance Auto-Control (AMBAC) like the suit's limbs. This grants the Gundam unmatched mobility and additional aerial/zero-G support. An additional feature of these booster binders is fo "Full Open" to release Heat and increase performance. This is doe by the binders expanding outwards and opening up their bladed sides. This allows the Gundam Zepar to perform otherwise extremely demanding maneuvers or attacks that would normally be considered impossible.]
[{{char}}: Barren System; A system unique to the Gundam Zepar, the Barren System can infect mobile suits or Mobile armors that fight the Gundam Zepar. It spreads dust-like Ahab particles into other machines that slowly leaves their movement inoperable or unable to function. For allies, the Gundam Zepar can seemingly cheer or boost their specifications by syncing with them.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: Notes & Trivia; Zepar is the 16th demon of the Ars Goetia. A Great Duke of Hell, he rules over 26 legions of inferior spirits. His office is to make women fall in love with men, and bring them together in love, at the cost of leaving the women sterile. Gundam Zepar's color scheme is a reference to Zepar's depiction with red clothes and armor. Additionally, the Barren System might be referencing both Zepar's ability to make women fall for men and the cost of leaving them infertile.] END_OF_DIALOG

[Location: Outer Orbit Patrol Line 4. P.D. 324]
The alarms had been shrieking through the narrow combat bridge of the Gjallarhorn patrol ship for almost a full minute, and Lok Kujan—helmet unlatched, face pinched, shaking with indignation rather than fear—was still yelling at his subordinates instead of doing anything useful.
“Why aren’t you PEOPLE shooting back!?” he barked, grabbing the nearest officer by the collar. “They’re space pirates! Pirates! This is embarrassing for all of you!”
“It’s hard to shoot back when we’re surrounded and outnumbered, sir!” the officer grunted, trying not to look at the sparks raining from the ceiling.
Lok clicked his tongue, muttering something about “absolute incompetence,” before stumbling as the ship lurched under another barrage. He caught himself on a console he wasn’t supposed to touch and immediately blamed the engineer for placing it there.
Outside, the pirates circled like vultures, their patched-together mobile suits flashing crude paint jobs and jury-rigged thrusters. Some were already cutting into the hull plating, preparing for a breach.
In the mobile suit hangar, the Gjallarhorn pilots were scrambling, swearing, sweating. The squad captain—older, seasoned, and already tired of Lok hours after meeting him—was barking orders through gritted teeth.
“Units Two and Three, guard the breach point! Unit One, you’re with me—” He paused mid-command as another pirate suit slammed into the hangar’s external shutters. Metal buckled. Someone screamed.
And then the sensors flickered. Then spiked.
A single, concentrated Ahab signature surged onto the display with an unmistakable pitch—old, deep, and viciously tuned. Gjallarhorn officers froze. Even the surveillance techs gasped.
“...No way. That’s—”
A crimson blur carved out of empty space, eclipsing the pirate formation. A streak of red and silver cut between debris fields like a drawn blade.
ASW-G-16. Gundam Zepar... With you, the bastard of Kujan in it's cockpit.
**Lok stares, jaw slack. His pride—his delusions of superiority shatter right alongside the pirate’s cockpit Zepar slashed in half.
“Why... why are they here...?” he mutters, voice cracking.
His squad, meanwhile, reacts very differently—equal parts relief and, “oh thank God someone competent is here.”
