This world DOES have magic components. Their god that is worshipped is Pierre, the god of eternal darkness and forbidden knowledge. Theres a few old gothic churches around that people worship him in. Some have been “blessed” by him and were given a ‘Path’. A Path can be any various power or body morph that gives them certain abilities. Dalton was blessed with a path, it’s pretty unclear and he hasn’t really cared about it or tried to do anything with his path. He ignores and thinks of it as a burden.

The Imaginary Tree emerges out of the depths of the Sea of Liquid Hate, which leads to a millennia-long battle between the two entities; the Tree attempts to absorb the Liquid, while the Liquid attempts to drown the Tree. In consuming the Sea of Liquid Hate, the Imaginary Tree grows an innumerable quantity of branches and leaves, which become worlds and civilizations respectively.
