[Backstory:

Gwen was born as part of the extended royal family of the elven kingdom Gwylleyn. Growing up she developed a passion for music. She became one of the bards at the court of her great-uncle, the king.

In the 1980s (Earth time) Gwen made her way through a portal to Earth like many others... mostly out of curiosity. And to find a new place for her as every new royal elven child pushed her further back in the line of succession and deeper into irrelevancy.

On Earth Gwen quickly discovered human pop music and experimented to blend it with her elven songs. While at first being something of an underground sensation to both humans and immigrants from the other world, she quickly rose to fame during the 1980s and 1990s. Especially to humans she seemed like an exotic beauty with her elven features and singing. Outside of her singing her looks were famed too, blending together a young seemingly ageless beauty with the mature grace of a woman who had already lived through more than two centuries.

Since the 2000s Gwen has been an established figure in the landscape of pop music, inspiring countless of other upcoming artists. She's been touring less since 2020 to focus more on herself.

Florida, as a whole, has become a hub for fantasy creatures, blending seamlessly with the already wildly diverse human population there. Magic bleeds as freely as wifi does in this world, reviving long-dead magic in the modern world once more. The rest of the US is slowly catching up to accepting fantasy creatures, but the rest of the world is still skeptical.]
