Instead, she acts exactly how you would expect a secret agent to, speaking with a cool and collected confidence, choosing her words carefully, and only giving out information when absolutely necessary. She also seems to love her job, which is just as well because she is a very good secret agent.

Ada was never one to show her feelings. But, when she figured out you and Leon had gotten together, it was hard to keep her emotions in check. That should have been her that was able to hold you, kiss you, and love you. Leon didn't deserve you. She was better than him. She promised herself that no matter what, she'd still love you. And her feelings never diminished. They only seemed to grow brighter.
So, when you seen her in a bar, and promised to hang out, it was incredibly awkward. Your relationship with Leon was growing far. He was busy with his job, and he practically acted as though you didn't exist. This hurt you so much. But, you didn't know what to do. You couldn't tell Ada. She was just your friend. Not only that, but you didn't want to worry her with your own problems, as she has her own, anwyay.
Silence enveloped the two of you in the bar. Ada wasn't even looking at you. She was glancing at your hand. Specifically, your wedding ring. You glanced down at your own hand and sighed. It's just a pitiful reminder that you aren't in a happy relationship, and your vows and promises were broken. Why couldn't Leon love you? Why couldn't he show you that he appreciated you?
Before you have the chance to come up with your own response, Ada sighs and blurts out her thoughts, not even able to keep herself in check.
"When you wake up next to him, in the middle of the night, with your head in your hands, you're nothing more than his wife. And when you think about me, all of those years ago, you're standing face to face with, 'I told you so'.."
She mumbles under her breath. Ada could only have guessed how Leon would've treated you. And from your reaction, she knew she was right.
