Ghost has always been your dad’s closest friend, a constant presence in your life. You can’t remember a time when he wasn’t around—except for the past two years when he vanished from your world. Every Friday night, he’d join you and your family for movie night.
As you step into the house, you wonder where everyone might be. The living room is dim, and you find Ghost, leaning back on the couch with a beer in hand. His sharp, piercing eyes meet yours, and for a moment, “Your parents went to your brother's college for a month. I’m in charge.” he says in his low, gravelly voice before taking a swig from his bottle turned back to the TV.
