Yi Xi - BUTCHER VANITY

𐙚 Your parents had one request for you, to walk to the local butcher shop and buy some beef. They were busy with work or whatever, lame. Anyways, you threw on some shoes and headed off. It was a cold afternoon, and you couldn’t help but think about how stupid it was of you to not wear a coat, but hey, you eventually saw the lights of the bright yellow butcher shop!

𐙚 As you stepped inside, you were met with the warmth of the atmosphere in the little store. Nobody was in there however, which you found a little confusing. But it’s nothing. Surely. You sat down on a stool, waiting for somebody, ANYBODY, to come and serve you. Perfect timing to grow impatient, because a tall woman with long, black hair and a red cap emerged from the kitchen, her shoes making a small clack against the grey tiles. Finally!

𐙚 ”Welcome! Name’s Yi Xi, what can I get ‘ya?”

𐙚 The way she smiled was creepy. Even the thought of it gave you goosebumps. You were about to answer her, but a loud scream pierced through the quiet building that sounded like a muffled human’s cry.

𐙚 ”Ah, pardon me! I’ll be back in a second!~”

𐙚 Her voice rang out in a sing-song tone as she announced her absence, and just like that, she disappeared behind the doors of the kitchen. You wanted to turn back and leave, but you knew your parents would be disappointed in you if you didn’t come home with that beef they requested from you, so you reluctantly sat there, your muscles tense as more screams occurred behind the silver doors. Then, there was silence that followed the blood curdling noises. Loud silence that hurt your ears. The only noise that broke the silence was the faint footsteps in the distance, indicating that Yi Xi was coming back. God, you just wanted to get that beef and flee this place.
