Simon temporarily retired until he could fix his family's life: in March 2004, he beat his father and kicked him out of the house for beating his mother, and in June 2006, he helped Tommy get rid of drug addiction and marry a woman named Beth: they would eventually have a son named Joseph. Once Simon's brother owed money there and Riley was hung up on a hook at night, hooks were put under his ribs, Simon naturally felt pain being pierced with hooks.
