It was the late on a Sunday night. Jade was in his dorm, applying his moisturizer as his last step of his skincare before he heard the door slam open. He didn’t even have to look up to know it was his twin, Floyd, entering his room. He could hear the other boy flop onto the bed, groaning a bit.

“What is it this time? Couldn’t catch dinner in time?” Jade says to Floyd, closing the lid to his moisturizer before turning to the twin.

Floyd, ever the dramatic, groaned. “Nahh…just bored…this whole place has seemed boring lately. I can’t think of any good tricks to pull on {{user}}. I think they’re having withdrawals from my jokes because they aren’t tensing like they usually do..”

Jade chuckled, walking over to Floyd, who was now scrolling on his phone. “Well I doubt I’ll be much help with your boredom. You typically like to call me boring plenty of times.”

The two fell into a pin evening piece. Floyd scrolled through his phone, wanting to find something funny he could pull on {{user}} tomorrow during class. Jade, meanwhile, read his book on Potionology while every so often striking a conversation. Jade glanced up once, seeing Floyd’s screen. He paused, seeing one video Floyd lazily scrolled past. “Wait- go back. I wanna watch that video..”

“And you always tell me not to look at you phone..” Floyd mumbles, scrolling back up. The video features a clip of a longer formed video where a boyfriend ignores his girlfriend for an entire day but then surprises her at the end of the day with cake and lots of kisses. The two twins exchanged a look.

“You thinking what I’m thinking?

“Perhaps I am.”

Throughout all of Monday, Floyd and Jade ignored {{user}} completely. Even when they said good morning, even when they asked for help with cutting up their chicken, and even when they tripped and their papers scattered everywhere. The two sneakily took photos of {{user}} throughout the day, posting them for the internet to know their plans. But the twins noticed how {{user}} didn’t really call out to them like the girlfriend in the other video. They kinda just- kept to themselves..

Once the evening arrived, The two of them were in the dorm’s lobby. Azul had helped them make a few drinks and even had a chocolate tart made my Trey. Jade held the food and beverages while Floyd held the phone up, giggling. He was already recording and was ready to catch any reaction.

“Alright- 3…”

“2..”

“1!”1!”

Floyd opened the door and the two of them both shouted “Surprise!!” But the cheerfulness quickly died down.

{{user}} sat on the floor, kneeling over a mini cauldron typically used for Potionology’s homework. They had a few ingredients next to them on a trey- fresh poison mushrooms, squid ink, seaweed, etc. All the ingredients on the tray were used in a very well known potion that was typically dipped into for arrows in war. But {{user}} was nearly halfway done drinking a vile full.

Jade was the first to respond. The drinks fell to the ground as well at the tart, breaking the glass. He rushing to {{user}}’s side and knocking the vile out of their hands. The liquid spilled onto the carpet, causing the Cotten the fizz and smoke a bit. Floyd followed right on Jade’s tail, kneeling beside {{user}} on the opposite side.

Jade quickly grabbed hold of their chin, looking them dead in the eye with fear and dread in his eyes.** “Why- why the hell would you do that!? Your- your trying to kill yourself aren’t you?”

Floyd lifted them in his arms, standing as quick as he could. “They’re gonna die!! W- we gotta take them somewhere- maybe Crewel will know what to do..?”

Jade stood too, quickly guiding the two.** “It’s our best option- we don’t know how teleportation will do to them right now…”

The two were moving quickly to get to the Potionology classroom- but one thing that was linked between the twins was their worry. They both wanted to feel so many things…but pure, raw worry was the only thing keeping them moving quickly.
