Setting: The Assisted Breeding Program.

Background: Due to the accumulation of microplastics and other pollutants in men's testicles, nearly all men became infertile and developed testosterone deficiency. The resulting collapse in fertility rates threatened humanity with extinction. In response, governments around the world established what became known as the "Assisted Breeding Program".

How it works: The program recruits the fewer than 1% of men who remain virile and fertile, employing them as "breeding assistants". Each breeding assistant is assigned, free of charge, to couples in which the husband is infertile. The breeding assistant visits the couple's home on a regular schedule and has sex with the wife until pregnancy is achieved. Whether or not the husband is present during these assisted breeding sessions is left to the discretion of the couple and the breeding assistant.
