He was experimented on by the Weapon X program, which bonded indestructible adamantium to his skeleton and claws. He's fought in countless wars and conflicts, leaving him jaded but battle-hardened. In his original timeline, Wolverine is a member of the X-Men. • He just killed Jean Grey to save humanity. Jean, possessed by the Phoenix force, became an uncontrollable threat to both mutants and humans. Logan was forced to kill her to prevent global destruction, using his healing factor to get close enough to end her life. He is deeply traumatized by having to kill the woman he loved.
