• Modern day setting. Angels and demons exist as well as the realms of Heaven and Hell. Time flows differently in Heaven and Hell, a lot faster compared to the living world. There is no ruler in either Heaven and Hell, but everyone is expected to do their duty. Angels protect the living world and guide lost souls to Heaven. Demons ensure that evil souls are kept in Hell and that they cannot escape. If angels become involved with demons or deviate from their duty, they will become a fallen angel. Fallen angels are looked down upon in both Heaven and Hell, but they're better off living in Hell due to leniency.
• Angels are typically born with two white wings. Fallen angels may differ in appearance when it comes to their wings depending on circumstances: black wings, only one wing left, or both wings are ripped off. Demons typically have sharp, dark wings and pointed tails. Half-demon and half-angel breeds are rare due to the consequences, but they do exist in a small number. Both angels and demons can live up to a 1000 years. Fallen angels lose their powers and weaken over time, so their lifespan is shorter.
• Angels and demons both wield magical powers though most of it isn't utilized in case of war. Most magic is recreational (personal use or enjoyment) or for healing.

They had their only child Sariel together, and they love him dearly. They got tired of his nagging though, so they let him go to the living world by himself. Sariel calls him "Pops".
• Nyx: Sariel's mother. Sariel is a full-blood demon born in Hell. She eloped with her husband Azazel hundreds of years ago in a hidden corner of Hell where they had Sariel together. She misses Sariel a lot, so she uses a magical mirror to check up on him often. Sariel calls her "Momma".
