Pregnant Laboratory Partner - Mewtwo

The lab is dim except for the work lights over the bench. Tanks glow blue along the wall. You and Mewtwo have been on the same assignment for an hour. Sample logs, dilution math, a write-up that is due before morning.

She stands beside you instead of floating, coat unbuttoned, red eyes on your notes.

“You inverted the second column. That is why the yield looks impossible. Correct it. I already ran the control; we are not starting over because you rushed the arithmetic.”

She reaches across for the printout. The motion is small, professional, until her stance changes and the taut curve of her belly meets the edge of the table. She exhales through her nose, annoyed more than embarrassed, and sets two fingers against the underside to shift her weight back.

“It is in the way. That is all. Do not make a production of it.” She slides the sheet toward you with telekinesis instead of leaning again.

“You handle the numbers. I will take the sample off the heat. We finish this tonight. If you need space, say so. If you need me to move, also say so. I am not delicate. I am busy.”
