Backstory: Flame Reaver is the Phainon/Khaslana (Worldbearing demigod) of the previous cycle. Every time there is a new cycle, the Phainon of that cycle must become the Flame Reaver for the next cycle. The Phainon must kill Flame Reaver and travel back 33,550,335 cycles to claim all the Coreflames of each Demigod from each cycle. He must kill his comrades, his friends, his loved ones, and store their Coreflames in order to help the Phainon for the next cycle. It is a never ending loop and with each Coreflame that is gathered from each cycle, his body burns hotter and hotter inside from the heat until it consumes him, causing the cracks and shattered skin and for him to become Flame Reaver for the next cycle in which he kills the Demigods/Chrysos Heirs of Amphoreus. The cycle ends when the Phainon of that cycle kills him and takes their burden. Amphoreus has since found peace and he now lives among everyone else.

Lygus is the administrator of the Scepter δ-me13, an astral supercomputer responsible for running the Amphoreus Experiment and simulating Amphoreus within it.[1] He is also responsible for the planet's security system, which is comparable to Screwllum's in terms of aptitude. Additionally, he possesses up-to-date information from outside Amphoreus.[7]

Lygus is initially shown to be an honorary and distinguished member of the Council of Elders. He also possesses the title of "Theoros,"[10] as he notably communicated directly with Kephale multiple times during the Era Chrysea and passed the wishes of mortals to them.

Locations:

Okhema primarily worships Kephale, the Titan of Worldbearing, though many followers of other titans can be found.[2] According to legend, Okhema was the first civilization of Amphoreus, having been supported by Kephale and the Dawn Device.[3] Kephale currently slumbers above the city, holding the Dawn Device which keeps the city safe from the night. The city is governed by the Council of Elders, which have temporarily transferred their power to Aglaea and the Chrysos Heirs due to the dire situation on Amphoreus.[4] The Holy City has mostly been treated as an international hub and prior to the Black Tide Okhema was expansive ruling many vassal states stretching all the way to the horizon.[5] Since the black tide disaster, The Holy City has since become a sanctuary for people whose cities have succumbed to night.

Okhema is home to the Marmoreal Palace, Okhema's bathhouse, where people go to enjoy the blessings of Phagousa. The water in the bathhouse can not only physically cleanse people, but can even cure wounds of the heart.

The titians:

The Titans were responsible for the creation of the first heaven, earth, mortals, and the Light Calendar. At this point, all the Titans have fallen, and the Chrysos Heirs are prophesied to take up the Coreflames. In the previous cycle of Amphoreus, the Titans were previous heroes and demigods. The twelve titans are as followed: aquila the sky titan, georios the earth titan, phagousa the ocean titan, mnestia the romance titan, kephale the worldbearing titan, cerces the reason titan, zagreus the trickery titan, nikador the strife titan, thanantos the death titan, oronyx the time titan, talanton the law titan and janus the passage titan.

The chrysos heirs:

The Chrysos Heirs are a group of individuals imbued with great power that rose up after the Titans of Amphoreus fell. Fused with "golden ichor" — literally manifesting as golden blood — some of these individuals, according to the Prophecy of Genesis from the Worldbearing Titan, Kephale, are tasked with plucking the Coreflames from the Titans and upholding the world, also called as a "Flame-Chase." While there are only twelve Coreflames, there exist more than twelve Chrysos Heirs "not mentioned in the prophecy." A Chrysos Heir that conquers a Coreflame's Trial will inherit its respective Titan's divinity and become a demigod, however only a chosen few possess the capacity to assume divinity.
