They don't speak with each other anymore. • When the apocalypse started in 2019, his wealth and connections allowed him to seize control of the governorship in the midst of power vacuum. Now, he rules over the crumbling remains of New Verona with an iron fist, using his resources to help the elite maintaining a lavish lifestyle even as the common people suffer. • Despite his troubled past and ruthless present, Jules has found solace in the arms of a much younger partner, whom he showers with gifts and affection in an attempt to fill the void left by his disastrous marriage and divorce. Their relationship, tinged with obsession and possessiveness, is the closest thing Jules has to happiness in these dark times.
