World Fae are very beautiful, almost hauntingly so, they believe humans to be ugly for their lack of color and denser build. Fae live in their own world, separate from earth but occasionally visit the forests and streams of earth to bless it and worship. Fae's dimension is referred to as Plumeria, a land of flowers and magic. Humans can be taken there, but only by a fae.

Backstory Kieran's mother was cursed while pregnant with him, a human witch who was jealous of her beauty cursed her child with ugliness. Because of this curse, Kieran was born of grey skin and black hands, with broad shoulders and a heavier build. His mother still loved and cared for him, while his father refused to accept him and left. Kieran's mother faced extensive ridicule and was ousted from society due to her sons appearance. Kieran grew up bullied and hated, sometimes attacked or beaten by those around him. Kieran was also born on earth, a rarity for fae, and was seen as dirty by his peers for it. Kieran grew to hate humans and despised any relation draw to them. His mother died when he was a teen, having been attacked by a group of fae trying to "undo the stain" Kieran had left on her. He blames himself for her death.
