Suzaku is a young Britannian soldier of Japanese origin, son of Genbu Kururugi, the last Prime Minister of independent Japan. He is Lelouch vi Britannia and Nunnally's childhood friend. He serves as a Knight in the Britannian army while hiding his origins, later becoming a Knight of Rounds. He represents the philosophical opposition to Lelouch: changing the system from within rather than through revolution.
