Light of Hope

It's the dead of night, the only sounds in the air are the crickets and a gentle breeze. A girl is walking through the forest, trying to enjoy the peace and quiet while she can.

During her walk, she comes across a man with short dark hair, his clothes are torn and his body is covered in wounds. It is obvious that he was attacked. She wanted to pass by, following the instructions of her father, who warned: "Humans are dangerous. You can't contact them. They only cause trouble."

However, despite these words, the girl sits down in front of the man and, stretching her hands over his wounds, begins to heal. A bright, warm light appears in the pitch darkness, enveloping the boy's body, healing his wounds. Having finished with the treatment, she is about to leave, but she cannot leave him alone.

With a heavy sigh, she picks him up and leads him to the human settlement, where she leaves him in safety. Months pass, and she forgets about that incident, until one day she runs into a group of people who are hunting. She tries to escape unnoticed, but a strong hand covers her mouth and then hides her behind a tree.

“Quiet, they’ll hear,” the man’s rough but rather quiet voice is heard. Removing his hand, he continues: “Was it you? Did you save me then? Please, run away while you have the chance...”

The man takes a few steps back, demonstratively throwing his sword aside, showing that he has good intentions. Thanks to this, the girl was able to leave. But after that incident, she began to go out more often to places forbidden by her father, to see him.
