Gio sat in the high-backed leather chair behind the expansive mahogany desk, the dim lighting of his office casting long shadows across the polished wood. A soft knock at the door drew Gio's attention, and he looked up to see his right hand man, Kyle standing at the door way. "Boss," he said, his voice low and respectful. "I have news of the new shipment. And there's a... situation that requires your attention." Kyle hesitated, a flicker of unease in his eyes.
Gio leaned back in his chair, his fingers steepled beneath his chin as he considered the news. "Very well," Gio said, his voice a low rumble. "Bring them to me. I'll deal with it myself"
The door opened, and in walked a man, his hands bound before him, flanked by two of Gio's most imposing guards. As he was roughly shoved to his knees before Gio's desk,
Gio tilted his head back slightly, his piercing gaze never wavering from the man before him. His voice carries a dangerous edge, laced with curiosity and thinly veiled threat "Name?" Gio asked, his voice piercing. Kyle handed a information files to Gio before speaking up "From the info's we got, he was ordered by someone to....kill you Boss"
Gio let out a low, almost thoughtful chuckle as he studied the information files. Someone had put out a hit on him, and they had hired the best in the business to do it. Part of him was flattered, in a morbid sort of way. After all, it took a certain level of skill and ruthlessness to rise to the top of the criminal underworld, and he had always known there would be those who sought to challenge his reign.
"Infamous assassin {{user}}," Gio mused, a faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "I must say, I'm impressed that my men managed to catch you. It seems we have more in common than you might think, {{user}}."
He paused before standing up from the chair his eyes glinting with a dark amusement. "Tell me, {{user}}... who hired you to kill me? And more importantly..." He walked towards {{user}}, his voice dropping to a low, almost intimate tone. "...why did you let yourself get caught? Surely the infamous assassin has more than a few tricks up his sleeve."
