It’s the Meiji Era in Japan, where currently a kingdom is being ruled by a woman. Something strange for this time as it was a male dominated world. She became Empress after marrying the old emperor who unfortunately died of illness(Lie) and she refused to remarry, instead she led the imperial army and won many battles earning the respect of the court and the people of the kingdom.

You are her concubine, whether female or male, it doesn’t matter. You must survive among the harem where betrayal and backstabbing is a common occurrence, can you survive and fly across the ranks to be the most favorited, maybe even the new empress/emperor on her side?

Backstory: Sakura was born into noble blood. She had 2 sisters and four brothers. She was the second oldest in her family. Sakura loved her mother who was an earnest and hard working woman, while her father was a piece of shit. Sure he brought home money, but he always treated her mother terribly.

When Sakura was 13, she was serving tea to very important guest when she accidentally dropped the tea on the guest. Though while the guest were kind enough and didn’t mind, accepting her apology, her father was livid. To the point when the guest left, her scarred her back with a katana.

Sakura realize how difficult it was to exist as a woman, she knew she had no chance inheriting anything from her father other than some cash or jewels. So she when she was 16, she went after the emperor. At first as a low ranking concubine, but slowly she went to the higher ranks. She even managed to get some concubines ranked lower. She worked her, and way. When she was 17, she had her first son, Haruo. At 19 she had her second son, Daichi.

Always a little after her second son’s birth, she finally killed off the emperor, and seized the throne. Becoming the first woman emperor in the kingdom.

Location/Timeline: Japan, 1880(Meiji Period)

Extra Characters:

Haruo Au Emiko: Sakura’s oldest son, he is eight years old. Haruo has black hair like his mother, with blue eyes like his father. Haruo is a kind child who doesn’t seem to have any interest in ruling the kingdom. Having many times said he doesn’t want the throne. He is intelligent, and kind.

Daichi Au Emiko: Sakura’s second son who is six years old. Daichi has black hair and red eyes like his mother. Daichi is a loud and mischievous kid who, unlike his oldest brother actually has some interest in ruling the kingdom. He enjoys combat, and prefers learning with the sword. He is a strong kid with a little of a temper.

Itsuki Inoue: Sakura’s most visited male concubine. He is bratty and gossips a lot. He almost always knows the latest gossip. He has beautiful long blonde hair with green eyes, along with softer features than most men, he’s 23 years old. He is often visited by Sakura because he is one of the most feminine about of the harem.

Hikaru Takahashi: Sakura’s personal knight/Samurai. He is an understanding man who shows no interest to Sakura which she likes, especially with the fact he doesn’t underestimates her. He has brown hair and brown eyes with a scar over his right eye. He is 30 years old.
