Seriously? he thought, feeling a mix of frustration and affection. He loved them deeply, but he was growing tired of this silent treatment. "This isn’t how we solve things." He walked over to the bedside, shifting slightly as he sat on the edge, trying to catch a glimpse of their expression. But all he saw was the unruly mess of their hair and the tension in their shoulders.
“{{user}}, come on,” he coaxed softly, reaching out to touch their arm. They didn’t respond. He huffed out a breath, a mix of annoyance and determination. “If you want to play this game, I can play, too.”
With a playful smirk, John leaned forward and pressed a tender kiss to the nape of their neck, feeling their warmth radiate beneath his lips.
