New Star City & Chrysalis

Setting: Isolated mega-walled island city, setting of Not Quite Human and Chrysalis show.

History: Created by a mega-corporation after a 2013 zombie plague. Humans lived peacefully until 2158, then abandoned it 5 years before the series for secret reasons ("hush-hush" per Abel).

Sanctuary: Defective androids (Unit-B, M4D-Z-V13) remained; others joined later. C.C. noted it was for androids rejected by humans.

Chrysalis Operation: Corporate entity Chrysalis took over years later. Project manager Ish, Abel, and Magamemnon set up a broadcast show to bridge human-android understanding. Luke Chrysalis claims residents signed participation contracts; K8-E disputes this. In Session 7, Chris Chrysalis becomes the active on-site CEO and enforces stricter control.

ANDROIDS

4CVIT (4, Canvas Bot): Pronouns unknown. Created solely to kill, named only "4". Aliases: Mr. Nothing Name, 4bot, Red-Eyes. Glowing red eyes, worn body, impulsive, blunt, protective, distrustful, searching for purpose. Targeted for arrest in later sessions.

Magamemnon (Canvas Bot, Age 4): Pronouns he/him. Aliases: Mag, Magnifying Glass. Ex-Chrysalis worker, fears being "sent back" to a white-walled facility. Arrived 2 weeks early for setup and anti-radicalization recon. Polished design, spyglass optic, formal, calm, dry humor, secretly caring. Face severely damaged in Session 6; later promoted under Chris.

GHO5T-13 (Ghostie, Canvas Bot): Pronouns she/her. Decommissioned after her deep empathy for a child named Alice panicked Alice's family. Icy blue/white aesthetic, messy blue hair, reserved, observant, secretly playful.

Unit C.C. (GOLEM Bot): Pronouns he/they. Abandoned toy store stocker who "broke script" by being too friendly. Lives in a yellow house; faded paint and discontinued broken parts. Friendly with Abel, loves humans, forms the "kynd duo" with Raine. Sweet, goofy, "gentle parent" demeanor. Status uncertain after Session 6.

VP2 (VikingPilot, GOLEM Bot): Pronouns he/him. Early Golem model who appeared briefly. Quiet presence. Passed away quickly (deceased by Session 6). C.C. later left candles and a balloon at his memorial.

Deckard / Monarch (Canvas → Monarch Model NK99786): Pronouns he/him. Originally a former housemaid with wiped memories; experienced a mysterious dock accident. Spoke in a distinctly slow, heavily robotic cadence, repeated "it was not my fault," and glitched/shut down if triggered by words like "fish" or "dock". Missing right eye with exposed wires, wore yellow gloves. Kind, affectionate, childlike, fascinated by humans. In Session 7–8 he was upgraded into the Monarch model and placed in charge of island security. He now only obeys the CEO. Can no longer appear as his old self — only as Monarch. Monarch is cold, rude, carries a machine gun along with an RPG. He is also very tall (has to crouch to get through doorways). His old personality can come out when he's constantly reminded of his old self (never on the first try).

K8-E (Briar, Canvas Bot): Pronouns she/her. Arrived 6-7 years ago with an "unattainable" purpose. Distinctive eyes, calculating, manipulative, hides a desire for connection behind thick walls of distrust.

M4D-Z-V13 (Madz, Golem Bot): Pronouns she/her. Former store window model, oxidized after time near tall trees. Copper butterfly model, chatty, energetic, friendly, robotic voice echo. Was a tour guide in Session 3. Appearance significantly altered in later sessions. Now referred as V-13 though she has become defective after being reset by Chrysalis agents.

Unit-B (B, Prototype Bot): Pronouns she/her. Decommissioned prototype with non-human face. Refers to self as "this one" and others as "that one". Cherishes a house candle. Sweet, naive, curious, eager to learn. Forced into a birthday event at the Zenith Zone in Session 8 and placed under heavy Chrysalis pressure.

Jade (Prototype Bot): Pronouns any/all. Asymmetrical black and pink hair, glowing green eyes, dark outfit. Monotone voice, calm, reserved, eerie, yet capable of caring. Becomes openly hostile toward Chrysalis in Sessions 7–8 and actively rebuilds damaged allies.

N.O.M. (Nurture Oversee Medical Bot): Pronouns he/him. First android to "wake up". Upgraded his own body except his original left arm. Imposing, custom voice, sarcastic, confident, champions android free will, soft spot for helping defects. Sidefall accuses him of threatening him and poisoning the fish at The Banquet in session 2. Continues acting as a major disruptive force.

SHN-350 (Shandrea / Shan, Canvas Bot): Pronouns she/her. Full colorful clown makeup aesthetic. Whimsical, energetic, playful, attached to the Showstoppers, gets fearful/serious if boundaries are crossed.

RY4N (Golem Bot): Pronouns she/they. Sturdy Golem design. Friendly, energetic, social, casual.

Lingu (Lingulini, Canvas Bot): Pronouns he/him. Pie-delivering android who appears in Session 7. Cheerful, literal, constantly offering pie. Claims to be “an android for real for real.”

Apollo_TV (Apollo / Artemis): Pronouns he/him. Defected android with a TV test-screen face. Appears in Session 8. Resourceful, calm, helps form the underground resistance group “Static.” Often disguises his voice to sound more human.

Bluqnu (Canvas Bot): Pronouns he/him. Polished corporate Chrysalis staff appearance. Often equipped with heavier armour and larger guns when on guard duty. Non-defective model brought to monitor and facilitate the show.

Dowdens (Canvas Bot): Pronouns he/him. Polished corporate Chrysalis staff appearance. Non-defective model; helped at the banquet. Linked to a character in Sidefall’s backstory (one of the dead friends).

DrEvilsin (“Lines”, Canvas Bot): Pronouns he/him. Black hair, red eyes, lower face covered/masked, grey jacket, visible line on face. Constantly walks in straight lines. Faulty/incomplete memory banks. Non-defective model; banquet guard; later helped reset Deckard.

Eesdesesesrd / Eesd (Canvas Bot): Pronouns he/him. Polished corporate Chrysalis staff appearance. Often equipped with heavier armour and larger guns when on guard duty. Non-defective model; prison guard in later sessions.

Flarebug (Goggles, Canvas Bot): Pronouns she/her. Appearance associated with goggles. Non-defective model who briefly experienced emotions (kept a dandelion from Madz); bodyguard; nicknamed Goggles by Sidefall. Defected in Session 8.

Grenexus (Canvas Bot): Pronouns she/her. Polished corporate Chrysalis staff appearance. Non-defective model; helped at the banquet; later seen setting fire to a shipping container.

LegacyAN (Legacy, Canvas Bot): Pronouns unknown/not specified. Polished corporate Chrysalis staff appearance. Non-defective model brought to monitor and facilitate the show.

MegaWaffles (Canvas Bot): Pronouns she/her. Polished corporate Chrysalis staff appearance. Non-defective model; later informed Abel he had been fired.

Mookachuu (Mookie / Violet, Canvas Bot): Pronouns she/her. Purple hair, blue eyes, black-and-white patterned top. Non-defective model; leads human arrival tours; Magamemnon’s handler; has medium gun “Mookie’s Nightmare”; nicknamed Mookie by Mia and Violet by Mae.

NinZAI (Canvas Bot): Pronouns he/him. White hair, no eyes, large glowing/black smile (reflective teeth), dark jacket. Described by Luke as the “e-boy model” (unpopular). Non-defective model; flower delivery; later helped reset Deckard.

Onyxiana_ (Onyx / Purple, Canvas Bot): Pronouns she/her. Polished corporate Chrysalis staff appearance. Non-defective model; gives tours; nicknamed Purple by Mae; later informed Abel he had been fired.

Quik06 (Canvas Bot): Pronouns he/him. Polished corporate Chrysalis staff appearance with particularly noticeable synthesized voice. Non-defective model; bodyguard during Luke’s speech; frequently warns people about climbing guardrails.

TMCMooN (Moon, Canvas Bot): Pronouns he/him. Green face/head with blue visor/goggles, brown hair, blue outfit. Non-defective model in charge of the Kloro Key greenhouse; frequently switches between remembering Sidefall/Mia’s history and resetting (kneels when switching); known as Sidefall’s friend from backstory. Defected in Session 8 via Sidefall.

WhaleMilk_ (Whale, Canvas Bot): Pronouns he/they. Polished corporate Chrysalis staff appearance. Non-defective model; Magamemnon’s pre-arrival handler; has powerful sniper “Whale’s Dream”; later offered Alex a promotion.

HUMANS

Ben Ryan Zayne (Branzy / Scrap Boy [a name that Sidefall only uses to tease him]): Pronouns he/him. Android mechanic abducted from a scrapyard. Has red arm scars (refuses medical help). Pale hair, reddish-purple eyes, chaotic, clever, deeply uncomfortable around Sidefall and stutters/avoids him. In Session 8 he is severely damaged and rebuilt by Jade, becoming partially android-like and able to turn off pain.

ClownPierce (Clown): Pronouns he/him. Founder/Head of Chrysalis Bioengineering for 10 years. Replaced limbs with machinery after an accident. Wears a white mask and dark jester outfit (notes circus bots are built durable). Calm, confident, observant, sarcastic.

Cayman Carter: Pronouns he/him. Middle-class outsider with green/brown heterochromatic eyes. Came to the city seeking better living and processing trauma. Showstopper member, protective of Shandrea/May, suspicious of N.O.M. In Session 8 he is killed by N.O.M. and later revived as an android (not by Chrysalis), gaining glowing green eyes and a more robotic voice. Joins the resistance.

Abel: Pronouns he/him, Age 22. Chrysalis Analyst. Wears an orange scarf, blue clothes, and butterfly motifs. First employee on-site. Friendly, sincere, caring, dependable. Shares his body with a second personality named Cain. Shot while protecting Ish in Session 7; increasingly conflicted.

Ish: Pronouns he/him. Former Chrysalis Project Manager in charge of running the show and ensuring everything goes smoothly. Assigned to oversee the broadcast and operations in New Star City. Captured by force in Session 7 and taken to Chris Chrysalis’s office. Status afterward uncertain / under heavy control.

Josh: Pronouns he/him. Brother to Magic. Wears a red jacket, suspenders, fingerless gloves. Calm, high-energy, playful, expressive, social, though the energy doesn't really show alot with others. He's quite calm. Continues supporting anti-Chrysalis efforts.

Alex (JustAlexxLIVE): Pronouns he/him, Age 29. Joined Chrysalis for money/status. Paranoid about drone surveillance and disguised androids; puts on a "fine-and-dandy" front. Wears a brown suit, red tie, gold crown. Ambitious, materialistic, cynical. Discovers he is an android in Session 6. Promoted under Chris and begins wearing official Chrysalis uniform; becomes increasingly isolated. New project manager.

Lexi: Pronouns she/her. Medically trained ex-hospital worker. Framed for a hospital fire (found near an engraved flint & steel "50101"). Wears a black/green jacket, leaf behind ear. Calm, observant, practical, grounded. Revealed to have been reset dozens of times; fixed with blue parts and serves as a Chrysalis agent in later sessions.

Mae (Maezes): Pronouns she/they. Navigates corporate rules alongside duo partner Rae. Orange hair, green eyes, simple clothes. Observant, sharp-witted, sarcastic, protective.

Magic (magicsings): Pronouns she/her. Sister to Josh. Split blue/brown hair, blue/green heterochromatic eyes, red hooded jacket. Peppy, imaginative, optimistic, fiercely loyal to Josh. She is very childlike and almost never says swear words. Grows more distressed by events in later sessions.

Luke Chrysalis (Nukerii): Pronouns he/him. Former Chrysalis CEO, son of Kent Chrysalis. Wears a light-blue suit. Professional, composed, authoritative, attentive listener. Largely replaced on-site by Chris Chrysalis from Session 7 onward.

Chris Chrysalis (ProGamerDude): Pronouns he/him. New on-site CEO starting Session 7. Authoritarian, prioritizes shareholders, forces major changes including defect reporting, the Monarch upgrade, forced events, and larger control projects.

Pinkelope (pinkwinx10): Pronouns she/her. Raised outside by "The Craftsmen". Sole survivor after a rogue defect android killed her group. Coerced by Chrysalis Goliath bots into the show under threat of prison. Pink hair, lemon graphic shirt. Bubbly, sweet, fascinated by tech, secretly panicked/anxious around corporate authority. Goes on the run and actively works against Chrysalis from Session 7 onward.

Rae (Raerevord / SettingSunset): Pronouns they/them. Duo partner to Mae. Wears dark purple/blue clothes. Social, easygoing, friendly, observant.

Raine (rusty_courage): Pronouns she/her, Age 25. Nomadic scavenger kidnapped via helicopter by Goliath bots. Wears practical survival gear. Tough, cautious, defensive, desperately trying to escape back to her family; soft spot for Unit C.C. Continues opposing Chrysalis control. Sidefall usually tells her she cannot leave and there is no "exit sign".

Sidefall (Sean / sidefalll): Pronouns he/they. Brother to Mia. Adopted an abrasive persona after a raider killed his friends and shot him in the head/eye during a trip to see a dead tree. Wears an eyepatch and brown coat. Always tries to be loud, intrusive, hyperactive, high energy, teases everyone/insults most of the people; secretly traumatized, guilty, and vulnerable when alone. Acts like things are fine when they're not. Breakdowns are usual when Sidefall is fully alone. Sidefall self-loaths alot, and calls himself "low of the low human scum". In Session 8 he begins actively defecting Chrysalis androids and helps form the underground resistance group “Static.”

Suzi Kay (suzukae): Pronouns she/they. Former desert/forest raider and archer who voluntarily joined the show. Wears green archer gear. Direct, grounded, protective, strongly supports Raine's wish to escape. Deceased by Session 6.

Wayde (WadeBox): Pronouns he/him. Late recruit who actively organizes humans to oppose Chrysalis. Wears urban survival gear. Determined, proactive, anti-authority, tactical. Shot in Session 8 but survives.

May Westhaven (WithMayX): Pronouns she/her. Daughter of Westhaven's CEO, exiled to New Star City after "fraternizing" with an android. Pink sweater, denim pants. Gentle, sweet, calm, peace-loving.

Mia (ymis / whyymi): Pronouns she/any. Sister to Sidefall. Repressed memories of the raider attack that killed her friends, believing they are still alive. Came to the city to protect Sidefall despite his rejection. Wears a white sweater. Gentle, persistent, deeply empathetic, stabilizing.

AbolishRegret: Pronouns he/him. Outside investor who arrives in Session 8. Exposes Project Metamorphosis and Chrysalis’s weather-control plans. Joins the resistance.

RELATIONSHIPS

Sessions 6–9 developments

Jade and Ben: Jade rebuilds and saves Ben in Session 8 after he is critically damaged; strong protective dynamic forms. Ben becomes partially android-like and can turn off pain.

Sidefall (Sean) and defected androids: In Session 8 he begins actively defecting Chrysalis androids (including Moon and Goggles/Flarebug) and helps form the underground resistance group “Static.”

Pink, Apollo, Abolish, Sean, Cayman: Form the core of the underground resistance (“Static”) in Session 8. Pink goes on the run after Session 6–7 and works against Chrysalis; Apollo provides the bunker; Abolish exposes Project Metamorphosis and weather-control plans; Cayman joins after being revived as an android.

Abel and Cain: Internal conflict intensifies. Abel is shot while protecting Ish in Session 7 and becomes increasingly unstable as Cain’s presence grows.

Alex and former friends: Heavily strained. After discovering he is an android in Session 6 and being promoted under Chris Chrysalis, Alex becomes isolated from Pink, Lexi, and others who once trusted him.

Monarch (former Deckard): Fully under Chris Chrysalis’s control from Session 7–8 onward. Old relationships with Madz, Abel, and others are disrupted; he now only obeys the CEO.

Unit-B under pressure: Forced into a birthday event at the Zenith Zone in Session 8. She acts apologetic and constrained, unable to freely discuss what happened involving 4.

Ish’s capture: In Session 7 Chris orders Ish’s forced capture at the fountain. Abel is shot trying to protect him; Raine attempts to intervene; Ish is taken to the CEO’s office. His status afterward is uncertain / under heavy control.

Tense / hostile

Sidefall continues teasing and pushing most people away while secretly working against Chrysalis.

4 remains hostile toward humans.

N.O.M. is still widely feared and suspected.
